500ml bottle (shared by FatPhil, thanks). Really dark brown color, almost black. Small off-white head, stays. Malty, roast, cocoa powder in aroma. Sweet, malty, bit of dark chocolate in flavor. Out of balance and slightly messy. Would give it another chance in future.

UPDATED: AUG 1, 2014 500ml can (Chmelarnia,Warsaw) (5:4:7:4:13=3.3)
Very dark red, tan head. Sweet aroma, but with some sharpish estery spikes, not quite solventy, but nearly. Dark sticky tar palate, heavy. Nice roasty body. Sticky, and a touch mashy, clearly says strong dark lager. Warmer, it’s fuller - quite heavy towards the end. Hedonistically, kinda nice, though it’s

Super rich roasty bready aroma, toasty roast, sweet. Bert calls it - it’s saaristolimppu. Beautiful dark, rich tan frothy head. Palate a bit thick and heavy. Marmitey burnt roast, a bit treacly. Rather nice porter, but a little sweet and sticky. Doesn’t taste alcoholic, but is clearly strong because the sugars are quite heavy. Nice, despite

Can, 9.5%. Caramelly aroma. Very dark brown colour, clear red shine. Tan head. The flavour is caramelly and slightly sweet and salty. Late bready note. Not boozy. Liquorice aftertaste.

Very dark brown with some red reflexes. Head is brown and small, falling fast. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, caramel with a distinctive hinch of plums. Alcohol is present and fits perfectly. Light sweetness, low sourness. Full body, low carbonation, long finish with slight sourness and minimal, yet very pleasant bitterness. Feels very smooth. Great baltic porter, best in Poland in my opinion. Full bodied with rich aroma. They should sell it in bottles.

Porter łódzki to nawet dobry porter. Sądziłem że to będzie gorsze piwo za sprawą puszkowej wersji. Nie lubię piwa w puszkach. Ale w tym przypadku to nie przeszkadzało. Wytrawny i gożki w końcówce. Smak jednak trochę słodkawy. Dobra beżowa piana sporo czasu się trzymała.

Appearance: Black (subtle red) color with a beige head. Ok lacing.
Aroma: Chocolate and fruity.
Palate: Medium to full body. A bit sweet and light bitterness. Creamy carbonation.
Taste: Unusual fruity flavor. Toghether with coffee and chocolate.
Overall impression: One of the best Baltic porters I have had.
Personal stats: Can from a trade with EIDesmadre.

Easily the best Baltic porter that I’ve had. Pleasant chocolate malty nose. Very thick bodied with a medium frothy head. A nice dark color. Great porter!
