(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with hopdog, thanks Steve!) Smells sweet and a little skunky like a Heineken, with little in the way of malt or hops. But somehow, it doesn’t smell too bad. Of course, I also don’t wrinkle my nose at ole skunky Heineken either, so take it with a grain of salt. The flavor is sweet and lightly grainy, with perhaps just a touch of hops and definitely some cardboard, and frankly, tastes like a standard imported European premium lager that’s sat around just a bit too long. Light bodied. Medium yellow color. Very small, white head fades to a small ring quickly.

On draught at the micro-brewery tavern/campground near Unity, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden straw brew with a creamy white head that has some nice retention and good lacing. Aroma of light golden grain malt, a touch of honey, vanilla and some mild flowery hops. Taste is light bodied, some light carbonation with flavors of malted golden grain cereal, a touch of vanilla, honey and flowery hops. Finish is slightly sweet with a crisp and clean cut aftertaste finish. I recall trying this beer at the original location 50 miles north of Unity. The new location and water has improved this beer from over four years ago.

A light-bodied brew, pours as bright yellow colour. Small white head. Aroma is a little stale, and grainy. Light tasting, pretty well carbonated, but bland flavors overall.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2006 12 oz. bottle. Hzy golden color with no head. Aroma of vanilla and some sweet malts.. Very mildly carbonated, with a little taste of cooked corn and those sweet malts again. Watery. To tell the truth, I think it has more flavor than a Bud Light--though Bud Light isn’t $7.99 a six-pack. It wasn’t bad, as in not really any offensive flavors, but not one redeeming quality either. Pass on this one.

i caught no aroma. cloudy yellow color with no head. very slightly sour flavor, with not much else going on. finishes slightly sparkly on the tongue, but not enough to redeem this weak attempt. a pretty nothing experience.

Now this is the third beer I have tried from these guys and it is exactly the same as the first two. In fact I can tell no difference from the lager I just tried. This is not a very good " blond ale".

Very thin, watered down, and lacking any noticable flavors or aromas besides hints of corn sweetness. Very forgettable.

Not offensive, but mainly because there’s little of anything here. Headless and gold, it did have some nice beading. The aroma is basically absent. This watery brew has a very mild corny taste with perhaps a touch of wheat. The finish is tinny.

I picked this one up from my trip out to Milawaukee, WI last July. Poured a medium and slightly cloudy yellow color with a very small sized white head. Aromas of citrus, grasses and sweet malts (all on the lighter side). Tastes of lemons and sweet malts. Very thin and watery. Drain pour.

Big disappointment. No flavor, save for a hint of "brown" flavor. Angry that I actually paid $8.00 for this.
