3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 VENOM (941) - Connecticut, USA - MAY 5, 2002
Clear gold. Foamy white head. Light carbonation. Clean aroma, some toast, spicy hops, crispness and light grain notes. Medium bodied. Nice balance with a soft malt base and pleasant hop bite. Carbonated well. Finishes with a hard water mineral quality and less maltiness, with a surge of spicy and lemon peel hop flavor. An easy drinking, well made, no frills German style lager.

A cross between a german helles and pils. Noble hops aroma. Pale malt flavor blends well with the hops. Clear dark straw color. A good middle of the road lager.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ughsmash (5837) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 5, 2005
Amber pour with just little wisps of white head. Aroma was of Noble hops with a nice malt backing (seemed like there was some pilsener malt in there). Crisp and clean on the mouthfeel and lighter-bodied. Flavor was primarily malty with a well-balanced floral hop presence. This was a very good lighter lager.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUN 29, 2008
On draught at the micro-brewery tavern/campground near Unity, Wisconsin. Pours a clear golden blonde brew with a creamy white head that has some nice retention and excellent lacing. Aroma of golden grain malt, a touch of citrus and some fruity character. Taste is light to medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of golden grain malt, some green vegetables and a touch of pear. Finish has a natural mild bitterness with some golden grain malt aftertaste. LogJam Lager is not as hoppy as I remember from the old location but the natural bitterness is a nice attribute to this beer.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 mohawksin (187) - Nebraska, USA - JUN 25, 2004
Logjam makes some good smelling beers. Smelled like candied nuts. Has a color of dark honey. Fast bubbles on the head. Sweet malty taste. Goes down very smooth. I bought six of these in Tomahawk, and am going back soon to get some more.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 ElGaucho (1862) - Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA - AUG 27, 2003
Aroma: Caramel & chalk. Deep gold to light amber in color. In fact, almost the color of caramel. Slight visible carbonation. White head, mostly diminishing. Very good lace. Mostly malty on the tongue. Some caramel. Initial mouthfeel detects a decent amount of alcohol, but it mellows as it warms. I am not a big malt fan, but this brew is not overly malty and relatively easy to drink. Sometimes I fear that, when tasting brews from some of these small, obscure brewers, that some noticeable flaws are inevitable. No glaring flaws in this one. Pleasant and flavorful. Better than Abita Amber, which I liken it to, and which I'm sure far outsells LogJam Lager.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 BeerAteHer (384) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - APR 27, 2005
Amber-gold color, not much head to speak of. Interesting aroma like butter brickle ice cream. Flavor is very clean-malt bready with a bit of hops. Extremely thin mouthfeel which seems to quickly yank away the malty finish as well, leaving only beer breath. Not bad, but seems more like a stupendous drumroll, prize-winning ... homebrew.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 heemer77 (4801) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JAN 23, 2006
Poured a dark gold with a little hint of orange. The thin whte head stayed around. The aroma was light carrots along with some sweet gingerbread. The taste was oddly old caramel with some light notes of hay. There was a light mouthfeel that fit in the with the style. Very lightly hopped. A decent beer.

average lager...nothing to write home about, glad i was able to purchase a single bottle.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 aracauna (2691) - Georgia, USA - NOV 3, 2005
Pours a hazy pale amber with very little head. It’s actually a little low on carbonation to start with. Mildly malty aroma. Slight grassiness. The flavor is mostly malt, but definitely watery. Finish is a lingering finish. Not bad, but doesn’t really seem a very graceful lager.
