0.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 hopdog (7054) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 31, 2005
Poured a medium and cloudy amber with virtually no head. Kinda of a skunky cabbage aroma. Tastes like water with a slice of lemon in it. Very thin. I’m on my way to dump this one out...
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Cornfield (5277) - Oak Forest, Illinois, USA - NOV 17, 2005
A thin-bodied amber brew with a filmy off-white head, this has a sweet caramel aroma with rotting apples thrown in for snicks. The taste is a weak caramel malt with the slightest hint of a non-hop bitterness. With selling points like that, it’s no wonder there’sno commercial description.

Amber/orange color with a minimal cream colored head. Sorgum and brown sugar aroma. Thin and watery feel. Very sweet with a dry nutty finish.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUN 29, 2008
On draught at the micro-brewery tavern/campground near Unity, Wisconsin. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a thick off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some spotty lacing and off-white ring. Aroma of caramel malt, some roasted nuts, flowery hops and a touch of toffee. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with flavors of caramel malt, fruity apples/pear, some flowery hops and a touch of mild spice. Finish has a good balance of malt and flowery hop aftertaste that quickly turns to a crisp and clean cut finish. The crisp finish from the brewery’s new location water is a major improvement from the past batches.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 heemer77 (4801) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - JUN 4, 2005
Dark orange, almost amber colored body. The aroma is sweet apples with cheap tobacco and some earthy dirt. The taste is light toffee and oak with some roasted and salted peanuts. The body is a little thin for an amber. However, this is a very accessible beer that is still interesting. This would be ok as a lawn mower beer.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 badgerben (4116) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JAN 17, 2006
Dark copper color with no head. Muddled aroma that seems to be some grains, but nothing stands out. Taste is earthy, actually pretty spot on to being a wet pile of leaves. Cardboard starting to creap in.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 DarkElf (2961) - La Jolla, California, USA - NOV 20, 2005
(12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with hopdog, thanks Steve!) Amber waves of grain and corn are the feature of this mediocre red ale. It’s lightly sweet and caramely, somewhat toasty, and I don’t think there are any hops in this beer whatsoever. The nose is all cheap smelling corn. Light-medium body, but this beer gets watery in a hurry. Medium amber body is a bit hazy, but I can clearly see that there are no carbonation bubbles rising through the beer. Barely a filmy layer of head forms during the pour, and that quickly fades to a tiny ring. Frankly, this is one of the worst red ales I’ve ever tasted. It’s like drinking a golden ale with food coloring.
2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 robertsreality (2460) - Minnesota, USA - JUL 16, 2004
Copper Coloring. No Head. I agree with Cookie aftertaste from Wawood. Malt. Very smooth/easy to drink...nothing distinctive.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Pigfoot (2267) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - NOV 3, 2004
Appearance: dark crimson color, nearing brown, with a creamy tannish head that dies down quick. Aroma: notes of caramel, and coppery, but a touch too flinty. Taste is fine, but unspectacular. Low hops, good, solid malt, and overall medium-bodied. Quite easy to drink, but not much of a challenge, and too skimpy on flavor. Seems to carry all of the earmarks of a classic Irsih Red ale, if that was their aim. Nice, lasting, flavorful finish.
"Best Beer By A Dam Site" You gotta love that motto! Truth in advertising?
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 RAYBOY01 (2005) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - OCT 31, 2005
Watery texture, underwhelming on all levels...flavor was weak, forgettable, caramel hints, no hops detectable at all. Will not try it again.
