Crisp, pale golden coloured body with a rich, very thick, five centimetre tall pitch white microfoamed head - very nice, all with zillions of fast bubbles rising from the bottom and sides - beautiful. Aroma of pepper, strong yeast, coriander seed, curacao, lemons, light hops and a very small amount of sugars. Medium-bodied; Assertive lemony character up front with a large grassiness, some perfumey hops, a hint of bread with a more refined yeast characteristic, pepper and a good chamomile and coriander seed freshness. Aftertaste shows a little citrus twang, some light alcohol notes, a hint of grassy and herbal notes and some minor sweetness - but all with a good yeast character and some complex finishes. Overall, a very nice and well-rounded beer throughout with a great look, an amazing taste and an even better complexity. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Made in Oregon in Portland (PDX Terminal D), Oregon on 28-September-2013 for US$10.95 sampled at home in Washington a day after returning from Portland on 09-December-2013.

Fresh bottle from Last Drop.

Pours golden with a nice fluffy white head. Estery wit-like nose of banana and cloves, barnyard, cookie batter ice cream, flavors sweet early, turning sour middle, finishing dry like oversteeped tea. Interesting beer but I’ve never been a fan of the in-your-face esters of this type so I end up enjoying less than it might deserve -- and I’ve rated it accordingly.

Bottle: The aroma consists of apple, fruit, lemon peel, and yeast. It pours a transparent dull yellow with a large white head that quickly fades to a thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with moderate apple and light pineapple. The finish has lemon, light floral notes, and spice. It’s light-medium bodied with moderate-lively carbonation.

UPDATED: MAR 25, 2014 Bottle: Thanks, Kevin! Completely opaque straw, borderline yellow with a foamy white head that quickly fizzes out to a thin collar. Aroma is quite funky... Cheesecloth, wet cotton, some damp hay. Lightly tart lemon-lime lies underneath. Slightly woodsiness in the back-end. Taste isn’t as funky; little more lemon-lime & a light tartness with some yeasty notes, light bubblegum, & hay. Hint of orange zest with a small hint of oak, cotton funk, & dry Brett in the finish.

Another delicious Logsdon beer. This one didn’t explode upon opening the beer. Pours a nice, super light yellow beer with a lovely bone white quilt and lots of lace. Smells like grain, some pithy clay, some sweet grain. touch of quilt. Flavor follows in line with the nose. Light bodied with tight, hi carb and a nicely dried finish. Nice beer.

750mL from Whole Foods in Bend, OR. Pours a low haze, bright straw with ridiculous white foam. Huge volcanic retention and lacing. Nose is much better than expected- light, doughy, fresh yeast, fresh bread, pineapple yeast starter. Taste is thicker apple, pear. Palate is dry, a bit drained, very little sugar for style. Very low body, agree that it feels a bit pilsner like. More in the "imperial saison" area than BSA. Still enjoyable.

Pours hazy golden with a big pillowy white head. Smell is typical of a Belgian Strong, banana, clove, belgian yeast, gum. Taste much the same. Bit of mild heat, hay, straw, and wheat. Light to medium bodied. Too unbalanced and boozy.

On tap @ Provisions. Golden orange pour with a white head. Sweet apple, apricot, and sugar on the nose. Notes of alcohol, yeast, banana, and orange. Sweet, sugary flavor, too. Apricot, apple, and banana fruit notes. Pear, some orange, yeast, and a subtle spice. Light alcohol tartness. Not bad.

On draught at Brouwer’s Cafe during Logsdon Brewer’s Night on 09/10/2013: This beer pours a cloudy golden color with a medium thin white head that dissipates slowly to a film. Sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of yeast, citrus and spice. Medium-bodied with flavors of earthy yeast, grapefruit and spices. The finish is tart and fruity with a citrus and yeast aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Bottle. Pours clear yellow gold with white head. Nose and taste of dried apple, yeast, old citrus, earth, jicama, white sugar and touch of hay. Medium body.
