Pours cloudy golden yellow with a puffy white head. The aroma has notes of fruit, and slight hints of citrus. The taste is light and refreshing with a slightly bitter after taste. The after effect lingers in your throat for a bit. Decent saison.

(Rating #7005)

750 ml bottle poured. Thick, cloudy yellow pour with a foaming head. Solid carb going. Big Belgian yeast aroma and flavor going on. Banana character. Dry, grainy finish. Very nice Belgian here. Well hidden abv. Very enjoyable.

Yeast, yeast and yeast. Peach, light fresh fruit and alot of it. Thanks Oli for the sample. Would like to try again aged, 4-6 years.

Note: 7/10

My Bottom Line:
This authentic Belgian-style Strong Golden Ale showcases haystacks, bread dough and herbal hops in a bitter and prickly setting.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the cloudy yellow shine.
-The mouthfeel is particularly authentic.
-This smells like there was a significant layer of oxygen on top of the beer in the fermenter.
-A Belgian brewery would be proud to have this in their lineup.

Bottle.

Pours a finger of head on a hazy golden body. Aroma is bright ripe plum, lemon and a bit earthy. Taste mild fruit sweet with a nice balance. Texture is light and airy.

Big, fluffy, long lasting head with lots of lace..Traditional pungent aroma. Sadly flavor’s a bit too sweet.

Bottle (750 ml) at tasting. Hazy yellow with a large and thick white head, good retention, leaving some lacing. Flavors of yeast along fresh cereals, coriander, lemony notes, mild peppery notes and grass. Taste is not really sweet, gently tart, alcohol is well hidden and bitterness is very low. Medium body. Good carbonation. Pillowy. Dry finish. Grassy and mildly spicy aftertaste. Lemony as well. Even though it’s not listed as a "Logsdon" beer, there’s definitely the brewery signature. Prett neat stuff.

Pours (bottom pour of the bottle) a cloudy "golden rod" with a medium white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of pepper and perfumey yeast. Not too much alcohol. Taste is pretty dry for a BSA and fruity/peppery. Saisonesque, in a super saison manner of course. Body is medium and carbonation moderately high. Never feels hot. Quite nice! I would certainly pick up again if offered in a 375ml bottle.
