750 ml beeswax dipped bottle. Aroma consists of cherries, vinegar, wood, Sour Patch Kids, almonds, raisins. Pours mahogany with a thick beige head with great retention. Taste is lightly sour (4/10 on a sour scale), finishing dry. High champagne-like carbonation. Good. I was hoping for more sour and less carbonation, though.

750 ml bottle at City Beer in San Francisco, California, purchased by a guy next to us at the bar (Derek) who graciously shared with my friend and I. The pour is hazed ruby red, with a off white head that is small, though leaves nice lacing on the glass. The aroma is cherry skin, cherry fruit, barrel, and tart vinegar, funk and general sour. The taste is a nice blend of the tart cherry flavors, framed by the earthy funk sour and wood. Nice nuanced flavors, nicely blended. Finish shows softly sweet vanilla The palate is medium to light bodied, solid carbonation and tart sweet finish. Nice one, thanks Derek.

750ml bottle. Dark brown/maroon pour. Tart Aroma. Slightly sour with cherry undertones. Overall pleasant and decent but not my favorite Sour Red. Worth a try.

Bottled. Nose of cherry, yogurt, cream, subtle but nice. Deep maroon color with lace. Nice dark cherry flavor, yogurt. Airy body, dry. Would like more acid.

Bomber brought back from PDX. Sour cherry nose, with some light sweet funk. Brownish pink color. Light tangy fruit: cherries and grapes, dirty funky fruit peels sitting in the sun. Thin body and gently astringent. Good. But not much tartness or acidity.

750 ml bottle into tulip glass, best before 8/2018. Pours slightly hazy deep ruby red color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense light khaki head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of tart cherry, cherry skin, vinegar, oak, clove, hay, straw, musty funk, light leather, caramel, toast, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of tart cherry, earthy/funky yeast, oak, and dark malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of tart cherry, cherry skin, caramel, toast, vinegar, oak, clove, hay, straw, light leather, musty funk, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Fair amount of fruity/earthy tartness on the finish; with lingering notes of tart cherry, cherry skin, caramel, toast, oak, clove, vinegar, hay, straw, light leather, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of tart/sweet cherry, earthy/funky yeast, oak, and dark malt sweetness; with a good sweetness/tartness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and lightly slick/acidic mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with minimal warming present after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice Flanders red ale. All around good balance and complexity of tart cherry, earthy/funky yeast, oak, and dark malt flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.

Clear copper color, tan head. Wood, cherry scent. Cherry, acidic taste. Fizzy mouthfeel, very low bitterness.

750 ml wax dipped bottle- Pours very hazy ruby red to orange with a light tan crackly head that could get away from you if not poured carefully yet never quite goes away. Aroma is strong in cherries, tart, cherry pie filling, very nice aroma. Taste is very tart cherries, the barrel aging has added massive complexity, vinegar and funk. World class beer that I loved!
