750 ml bottle acquire via trade from OregonHopMonster. Thanks! Pours a nice rusty copper hue, nice gentle haziness, very striking amber glow on the edges, a nice bright reddish glow. A frothy offwhite head atop driven big by carbonation, firm decent layer. Sticks around ok, laces ok. Aromas are farmhouse, fruity ester. Firm and rich yogurty elements, pear and apple, lemon meets some gentle cherry, cherryskin, and oak. Farmhouse yeast, dusty and cobweb brett. A lot of fruit, some citrus, oranges and cherries. Not as heavy as you’d expect, decent oak, vanilla, tannic wet wood in some element. Estery life. Initial is lighter end of the fold, a touch of heft. Fruity, bready, estery and yeasty. Apple, some tartness and cherries hit. Lighter, some good tart and sour play into the middle, lactic twang and yogurt. A bit of sharpness. The fruity estery element, yeasty feel hit into the backend. Sour middle moving into a fruity and gentle sweet backend. Front was substantially more dry, bretty. Oaky backend, some firmer cherryskin tannic feel. Dry, tannic, a bit of gentle balsamic on the palate. More mellow, fruity estery elements from the base. As we get further into the bottle, we see a fair deal more cherry influence, the fruity feel subsides a bit, touches of almost bubblegum esters. Solid beer, a bit different, tart and cherry driven at times. More funk driven at others. Fruity feel. Lighter body but good balance, flow here. Pretty well constructed but doesn’t quite wow you in any way. Nice beer.

Bottle split @ CBC Clerkenwell. Yet more thanks to Aaron for bringing this. The pour’s red with a small head. The nose is rich, vibrant cherry compote. Acetic funk. The taste is dominated by cherry. Moderate caramel maltiness. Mineralic notes. Earthy yeast. Full body. Moderate carbonation. Overall, interesting stuff. Just a bit heavy-handed for my tastes.

Pours a rusty ruby brown with a finger or so of eggshell foam. Lots of tart cherry, old musty barrel and toasted vanilla and roasted malt on the nose. The palate is balanced with tart cherry, huckleberry, vanilla, vinous pinot noir in the finish especially and old rustic barrel notes. Not acetic at all which I enjoy but still tart with a good dose of acidity. Nice example of a style.

Bottle split at Craft Clerko, thanks to Aaron, 08/07/13. Murky reddish amber with a thin beige head which clears to a thin covering. Nose is light sugars, cherries, woody notes, almonds, soured berry fruit. Taste comprises light soured cherries, light sugars, woody tones, barnyard, straw. Medium bodied for an 8%+ offering, dry and crisp in the finish. Ok drinkable affair but a tad one dimensional.

Craft Clerkenwell tasting. Thanks to Aaron. Cloudy amber - brown beer. Little pale cream coloured head. Airy fluffy palate, dry. Light yeast. Light cherry sourness, not overdone. Finishes dry and airy. Okay if a bit dry.

Bottle with a best before of 01/2018. Pours with a deep burgundy hued body with an off-white to pink hued head. Retentive. Aromas are of big time funk, damp leaves, light windex, lots of cherry and earthy and rustic phenolic funk. Flavors are tart with a very earthy and leathery funk, cherry, medium sweet, dark fruit, plums, nice tannin. Lively bubbles, dry, more tart that sour. Very drinkable.

Bottle - gusher on opening. Pours completely cloudy hazel with a huge overflowing pink-tan head, creamy with good retention and great lacing. Aroma is yeasty, tart cherry, funk. Flavor is the same, lightly sweet with a touch of tart cherry, lightly tart with a touch of acetone on the finish. Medium body, bubbly carbonation in the mouth. Starts nice, finishes a little off.

Bottle with Keith and Brian, pours murky cranberry with medium head, not lasting. Aromas are cherries, sour barrel, light copper, brett, and oak. Flavor is most of the same Medium body. Insanely watering in the mouth with a tart complex finish. Nice.
