4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Received this beer from a friend in CA, coming from Stearn’s Liquor in Long Beach, CA. Poured from the 1 pint, 9.4 fl. oz. bottle into a 4 Hands Tulip Glass. Has Botlte No. C 1/37 - Best by: 06/2017 on the back of the label.
Aroma- has an unfamiliar cherry aroma and bit of musk behind it. Puckers the nose even.
Appearance- Pours a 2.5 finger head that has great head retention. Leaves a few suds behind but no real lace and the body of the beer is dark copper with a glow to it. Has no clarity.
Flavor- Starts musky and has this "Oregon cherry" taste that I’ve never experience. Dull but puckers and is very sweet.
Mouthfeel- Light Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Effervescent, Musky finish and tart cherries.
Overall Impression- Awesome Kriek! I’m interested in trying more American sours and this one was a great example of the style. I’m hoping to find another bottle of this or their Peche and see how they age. Recommend if available!

A - Pours a super hazy reddish-brown with a big finger of frothy off-white head. The head fades down very slowly leaving behind some nice lacing.
S - Aroma is a mix of sour cherries, funky brett and other yeasts, other dark fruits, oak, and a bit of lemon peel and toffee malts.
T - Starts off with a mix of sour cherries with some caramel malts, light lemon peel notes, and a bit of vanilla. Through the middle, some tart and funky brett and yeast flavors come through with some other farmhouse flavors and some oak. The finish is a mix of sour cherries, funky and tart yeasts, toffee malts, vanilla, and oak.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Feels smooth with a sour and tart finish.
D - Very drinkable. Nice funky and sour Kriek-style with some nice cherry flavor and some great funky yeast character.

Another excellent beer from Logsdon. Pours very hazy and a somewhat reddish brown in it. Small, dissipating head. The aroma has lots of cherry flavor and funk. Some lemons and a a bit of caramel. Oak. The taste is sourer than expected. Good tartness. There’s some caramel malt and cherry sweetness, but it’s far from cloying. Some oak tannin in the finish. Very nice beer. Feel is full with some pucker in the finish. I’ve heard a few people compare it to the NG fruit beers. I think it’s sourer and lacks the Belgian fruitiness. At any rate, I’m getting to be a huge fan of Logsdon.

4.1 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours rust brown with some lighter red hues on the rim with a thin pinkish white head. Aromas are superbly complex and perhaps the most wonderful part of this beer with cherry, brett and potpourri wafting from the glass. The flavor is delicately balanced cherries (both tart and sweet), cranberry, bread, brett and cardboard (a flavor I almost always taste in good saisons and sours). Mouthfeel is thick but cut with carbonation that makes the tongue tingle nicely. Overall this is a great beer both complex and delicate, I would seek this out often if it were easier to find.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle... This beer rocks!… Cloudy burnt-caramel ale with a small, creamy, off-white head. The bouquet is lightly funky and mildly acidic with a whisper of spice. Medium-bodied and lightly creamy with moderate carbonation. The flavor is clean and tart with some nice cherry essence. Finishes tangy, clean and dry. Muchos kudos to landhoney for sharing this world class beer with the South Florida crew!
