Bottle. Pours with a hazed red hue with a frothy off-white head. Acidic and mildly funky aromas. Red wine, currants, toasted malt, toasted oak, vinous, light acetic. Flavors are jammy, currants, sour, dark fruit, vinous and a lot of oak. Medium full carbonation, mildly tanic finish.

Muddy brown pour. Sour cherry aroma, barnyard funk, earthy; saison roots are no secret.
Taste doesn't capitalize: mild and lacking, as if it didn't get the memo from the aroma. Can taste the young souring bacteria in the dregs. Decent I guess, but certainly disappointing after the nice aroma.

Bottle: Thanks, Sean! Super deep copper, brown, & slightly ruby tinted body with a huge, volatile beige head that crackles on its way down. Big, musky, old, mildew-y cotton blanket funk bursting up front with lots of wet hay & cellar floor aromas. Light spicy florals in the background with modest notes of tart cherry & oak staves coming through. Less funk on the tongue, allowing more of that dry oak & tart cherry to shine. Lightly acidic but very, very tannic & dry, scraping the moisture from your palate. Faint apple skins, damp barnyard floor, & rotten fruit funk in the finish. Sharp, heavy carbonation. Good beer, but I expected better given the brewery.

Bottle: Absolutely gorgeous pour! A surprisingly large, but short-lived creamy beige head. Soon the head is gone leaving the shimmering auburn body. I love how nothing is overdone here; vinous, oak, yeast, tart/sour, and something that makes me think cinnamon. A good level of sour/tart keeps the pucker factor reasonable throughout the glass. A little dry on the finish, makes me think of peach skins, but overall very very nice. It’s simple, yet refined.

Bottle, pours murky brownish red with smaller head and lacing. Notes are cherry fruit punch, flinstone chewables, cranberry, sour water and candy. A little thin and watery as far as Logsdon goes.

Pours a ruddy, rusty red and has a tan rim. Smells of cherry, oak, lemon, some must. Flavor is tart, some cherry, some water, some oak, a little sweetened grain and acetic acid. Thin bodied with low carb and a wet finish. And okay beer, but certainly not worth $20.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light cola, faint tart cherry, and just a hint of lemon peel. It pours a hazy orangish-brown with a two finger beige head that has good retention. The flavor starts with a quick dose of cola. The finish has light-moderate tart cherry, light lemon peel, a hint of vinegar, and band aid. It’s light bodied with moderate-lively carbonation.

A steady pour into my New Belgium globe glass produces a two finger thick, amber tinged, tan colored head. The beer is a darkk amber / red plum color that shows a lightly hazed, red-copper / amber hue when held up to the light. The aroma smells of ripe fruit that leans towards cherry, concentrated plums, some caramelized apple notes, and some bright berry notes. There is an earthy maltiness here that contributers a lightly caramelized, toasted nutty character, some toasted brown cracker like notes, and some non-sweet, caramelized character.
This has a lightly bracing tartness to it up front that is mostly lactic in character, this lingers through to the finish. There is a slightly metallic note to finish here, a bit tinny perhaps, and also a light toasted nutty note that lingers a bit in the finish. The body is quite light, almost too thin actually, though it seems to pick up a touch of texture as it warms up. There is a bit of spiciness to the acidity here, though it is not distinct enough to be much in the way of acetic acid (which is a good thing).
Not nearly as tasty or balanced as I was hoping, the beer is a bit thin, and doesn’t have the depth that I would have liked. More rich maltiness, or perhaps more funkiness would have done, as is this is certainly decent and worth trying.

A very light sweet fruity ale with a smooth finish. Great with lamb and poultry. Nice with smokey cheeses.

Pours from bottle thanks to Sean. Murky brownish red pour with a big head that lingers a while. Aroma is dominated by musty, wet oak with hints of barnyard, sour red fruit, and flowers. Taste has lots of grassy, wood, and vinegar with some light funk and barnyard. Fizzy, sharp carbonation that makes it a bit hard to drink. Decent sour.
