COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our organic red ale is brewed in traditional West Flanders style. A combination of light, crystal, and dark barley malt, wheat, and oats are brewed with local whole-cone hops and a variety of select yeast and lactic bacteria. We age our red ale in oak barrels for a period of time to develop complex richness, soft tannins, and fruity tart character. The aged beer is then blended with young beer to create the desired balance of malt sweetness with a dry finish.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed red hue with a frothy off-white head. Acidic and mildly funky aromas. Red wine, currants, toasted malt, toasted oak, vinous, light acetic. Flavors are jammy, currants, sour, dark fruit, vinous and a lot of oak. Medium full carbonation, mildly tanic finish.

Pours bright red with thin white foam. Aroma of sweet cherries, raspberries, and citrus. Clean, not funky. Taste is fruity -cherry, raspberry, rhubarb. Light, clean tartness. Well balanced and easy to drink. Mouthfeel in the thin side. Overall decent, easy drinking sour. One could drink the entire bottle alone and not have taste bud exhaustion. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle in Glenwood Springs hotel. Thanks to Steve_0. Pours a murky pinkish brown appearance with a light tan head. The aroma is twangy with some notes of CIB (olives and tomatoes), red grapes, and black cherries. Tart and veggie like. A little gooey. Herbal and piney. No thanks.

Bottle in Glenwood Springs with friends. Pour is hazy brown with a small tan head and decent lacing. Perfumey, somewhat caramelly, bready, sweet cherry, some cough syrup, tangy and floral aroma. Taste is tart cherries, tangy, some caramel, brown sugar, bready, and appley with a medium sour finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Kind of different.

Draft at the Bier Stein, Eugene. Pours a medium reddish brown, little to no head. Aroma slight candi sugar, dried fruit, oak. Body medium tart, with a crisp and slightly sticky cherry finish. Digging this, one of a very few Logsdon beers I’ve not had.

On tap @ Brouwer’s. Pours hazy pale ruddy with thick just off-white head that fades into nice lingering lacy head. Aroma is dry tart berry fruit, oaky light malt. Taste is similar: big oak, fruit, some light citrus, very restrained sweetness for the style. Clean and dry on the finish. Tartness is well-balanced and does not dominate. Slightly thin body, though common in this style. Excellent beer.

Pours a nice rusty sienna color with a finger of eggshell foam. Nice complexity in this beer. Soft woody compost, dried tart fruit, round rustic grain backbone. Nice sour cherry notes brighten up the murky woodsy forest flavors. Really well balanced with layers of deliciousness, dry finish !
