Fresh Hop Beer 2011 - We spent the hot summer day hand selecting 9 varieties of organic hops growing at our friends Eric and Jennifer Miller Larch Creek Farms in Dufur, Oregon. We drove them straight to the brewery and loaded up our conditioning tank with Seizoen and all the fresh hops we could stuff in.

This poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma of Brett, lemon, light fruity hops and wheaty grain. Flavor similar, wish I didnít have this right after an awesome ipa, then I could detect it more hops, really clean bretty saison though.

750 ml bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a bright yellow color with a large white head. A big fruity lemon and dusty nose. Vibrant lemons, citrus, yeast, the core Saison is dominant, but fresh fruity hops as well. Quite fluffy and mellow palate. Solid.

Bottle.A: Cloudy lemon - yellow with a foamy white head that dies in a fuzz. Lacing.N: Huge pineapple and mango upfront. Earthy, biscuit, toast, lemon, and peppercorn. Some orange and soap. Pear and green apple.T: Yeasty, bready, and funky. M: Medium body with a spritzy carbonation. Alcohol is hidden. O: Fresh hops show up in the nose without overpowering the base seizon. I do wish there was a bit more sweetness as I remember from the past, but it?s not an overlarge complaint.

P: Hazy, murky yellow, with a one finger white head. S: Very grassy, barnyard funk, pineapples, rose pedals, and raw honey. T: Barnyard funk, rose pedals, and some grass. Light pine and perfume strike in the end. M: Light/medium body with high carbonation and some lemon bitterness. O: Wish it had more of a hop punch to it. Enjoyable nonetheless.

Bottle... Only found one but Iím looking for more, friends! Obvious, but if you like Logsdon Seizoen and you like fresh hops, this is a banger. One of the best -- maybe the best -- hoppy saisons Iíve had. Smells and tastes like saison yeast, fresh grassy hops, touch of grains. Very clean and balanced. Light funk and subtle tartness on the finish. Darn good!

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a cloudy yellow with small white head. The aroma is yeast, juicy hop, oak. Medium mouthfeel with nice juicy hop, light yeast, dryness, spice, good.

Clear yellow with a decent pale head. Aroma is cheesy funk (Gouda), green olives, peach stone, wet wildflowers. Medium bodied, a little initial tartness followed by a herbed cheese on the palate, slightly umami finish. Taste is lemon, dill, herbed cheese, peach marmalade, stuffed olives, chamomile, orange peel.

Best by 09/2013 Gusher, huge gusher. The crown was on so tightly that it took a few tries to get it off, the whole time foam shot all over the counter. Fuck this is a mess. Itís a nice opaque rusty orange with a solid quilt of fluffy cream and leaves gobby lace. Nose is slightly pithy with orange and must, thereís also a spicy character I get in many fresh hop beers. The yeast dominates the nose here overall, however. Flavor is bitter, real bitter for the style. There is some sweetness, some lemon and a little metal. Full bodied with hi carb and a dry finish. Not my favorite from the brewery, but worth the taste.

Bottle. Pours very hazy yellow with white head. Smells yeasty, sour, spicy. Tastes very yeast, slight sour touch to it, light, slightly bitter finish. Really unique. Overall, I think itís a really good beer.
