COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Fresh Hop Beer 2011 - We spent the hot summer day hand selecting 9 varieties of organic hops growing at our friends Eric and Jennifer Miller Larch Creek Farms in Dufur, Oregon. We drove them straight to the brewery and loaded up our conditioning tank with Seizoen and all the fresh hops we could stuff in.

750ml bottle from John’s Marketplace. Pours a hazy, yellow-amber color with a nice white head. A bit of a gusher. Aroma is fruity, some citrus hops, grapefruit. Medium on the palate with lively carbonation. Flavor is a little funky, Brett, yeast, hints of banana, clove, some bitter citrus hops, bitter orange peel maybe, with a light, bitter finish. Very tasty.

Pour out of 750mL bottle, slightly hazy golden pour with white lacing head, aroma brought brett, pineapple flesh, hints of orange peel, mango, hints of biscuit, some slight tart lemon, lacto, oak, nice. Taste was a mix of lemon, oak, dank, resinous notes into nice earthy notes, touch of pineapple, mango, hints of slight funk, finishing fairly bitter, slightly tart, dry.

Unclear pale golden color with a fine white head. Ok lacing down the glass. Citric, yeast and mild acidic aroma. Nice body with a fine carbonation. Pleasant balanced sweetness and acidity. Moderate bitterness. Tasty little devil this one. Citric, yeast, fruity and mild spiced. One more please.

This poured a hazy yellow color with a white head. Aroma of Brett, lemon, light fruity hops and wheaty grain. Flavor similar, wish I didn’t have this right after an awesome ipa, then I could detect it more hops, really clean bretty saison though.

750 ml bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a bright yellow color with a large white head. A big fruity lemon and dusty nose. Vibrant lemons, citrus, yeast, the core Saison is dominant, but fresh fruity hops as well. Quite fluffy and mellow palate. Solid.
