Our organic Oak Aged Brett is made with our Seizoen Bretta that is aged for a period of time to develop the wood aged character in the beer. Oak Tannins, vanilla notes and subtle smoky spiciness soften and mellow this beer over time. The aged unfiltered beer is refermented and carbonated in the bottle with select yeast strains to provide added dryness and complexity.

[7375-20150710] Bottle. Light yeasty malted herbs and fruit aroma. Hazy, orange body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Biscuit and toasted yeast in the flavour with hints of wood malt. Medium body. Good. (7/3/7/3/15) 3.5

[Bottle (750ml) shared among friends] Pours a cloudy golden-orange with an average size diminishing frothy white head. Aroma is bretty and herbal along with bready malt and that’s it. Flavour: That’s different. Funky, tart and oaky along with bready malt and fruit. Average bodied. Interesting beer, pretty good overall.

Cloudy orange yellow. Nose is pineapple, astringent wood tannins, light barnyard and minerality. Taste follows, along with some tart acidity. Wood tannins are a touch heavy for me but work okay with this beer given the rustic elements of the brett.

Bottle, shared at game night. Very lively pour, hazy to start then once the settled sediment arrives it is downright opaque. Massive foamy head, chunky lace. Bretty funk and biscuit malt, tart, with an extremely dry woody finish. Not sour at all, nice funky character, and very dry. Interesting.

2015-07-10. Hazy orange body with a nice white head. Aroma of pale malt, lightly funky and musky. Biscuity malt notes. Flavour is lightly tart and tangy, biscuity malt. Lingering funk in the finish. Smooth average bodied palate, soft carbonation. Pretty nice. Bottle shared by Iain.

Split bomber with Sherm1016. Pours a cloudy yellow with one finger head. Beer had sour / tart nose with sour edged initial taste. Wow. Excellent.

Small sample from bottle, at a 4th of July tasting. Gusher bottle, like every beer I’ve had from Logsdon. The remaining contents were nice though - a fine farmhouse ale. Brett and oak in aroma and flavour. Might well sample again.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy orange-amber color with generous head. The aroma is lightly fruity and funky, mild but nice. The mouthfeel is dry, highly carbonated; vinous flavor, a lot of wood, too much wood, hence astringent in the final, not so pleasant.
Chaotic beer. I wouldn’t want to drink a full glass of it.
