COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our organic Oak Aged Brett is made with our Seizoen Bretta that is aged for a period of time to develop the wood aged character in the beer. Oak Tannins, vanilla notes and subtle smoky spiciness soften and mellow this beer over time. The aged unfiltered beer is refermented and carbonated in the bottle with select yeast strains to provide added dryness and complexity.

Bottle: The aroma consists of light-moderate sweet tarts, citrus, yeast, and faint vanilla. It pours a transparent amber with large white head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a thick ring. There is some sporadic webbing left on the sides of the glass. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus, light yeast, and cotton candy. The finish has light-moderate florals, light lemon, sweet tarts, and a touch of vanilla. It’s light bodied with lively, but not prickly, carbonation.

Pours hazy gold with frothy head. Aromas of papaya, vanilla, and oak. Flavors are the same with brett funk and smooth oak finish. Super solid brew.

Bottle, thanks tommy. Really nice, highly carbonated, oaky and bretty saison/belgian pale. Nose is super bretty and oaky with lots of vanilla and pineapple. Flavor is similar. Quite effervescent and spritzy, some notes of lemon, pineapple, vanilla, oak, and funk. Awesome stuff from an awesome brewery.

From notes. Tasted on 3/16/13 from a waxed and capped 750mL bottle at our epic Bottleworks tasting with Curtis, Jedi, and crews from Knoxville and Nashville. Pours hazy bright orange with a thick white head that leaves thick lace. The nose is spicy saison yeast with tons of oaky vanilla and a touch of light bread malt. The flavor is about the same with the oak barrel vanilla adding nice sweetness and a new element to the classic spicy saison. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long oaky saison with some funk on the finish.

Tap at Toronado.

Rich hazy gold with white head in my 6 oz (!!) glass. Yeast and brett on the nose, limited esters, oak coming through quite clearly. Gently sour flavor melds beautifully with the oak -- I’m very impressed -- for a rich beer somewhere in between a saison and a BA sour. After being relatively unimpressed by the regular Saison Bretta, I’m quite pleased with how this one came out. I don’t know whether 22 oz would go down as smoothly as 6, but now I’m curious to find out.

Des pulpeux agrumes amères, des brett fruités, une texture machable, des tannins habilement intégrés et une effervescence molle. Moins délicate que la Seizoen Bretta et plus amère que la Seizoen.
