COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our organic Oak Aged Brett is made with our Seizoen Bretta that is aged for a period of time to develop the wood aged character in the beer. Oak Tannins, vanilla notes and subtle smoky spiciness soften and mellow this beer over time. The aged unfiltered beer is refermented and carbonated in the bottle with select yeast strains to provide added dryness and complexity.

I’ve been sitting on this one for about a year. I am all about the big, rocky, white head on this. The nose is big peaches and cream. It’s tart and dry with plenty of funk. Some lightly tropical stuff. A little horse piss.

Fantastic beer. Worthy of a gold medal or shelf space in a cellar. This is a beer that craft drinkers should enjoy at least once in their travels, in order to appreciate how perfected it can get. An unparalleled aroma meeting the perfect amount of lightness expected from a Saison.

Bottle. Cloudy orange with a fluffy off white head. Fruity caramel, vanilla, Brett and oak aroma and taste with a nice tart green apple, caramel, and oak finish. Peach and apricot flavors become more prominent as the beer warms. Smooth, soft, silky, and bright palate.

Appearance is cloudy orange-amber with a frothy white head. Flavor: sharp lemony citrus, stone fruit, earthy wood, and plenty o’ funk. Seriously great stuff but I’m not sure whether or not this is very much better than the standard Seizoen Bretta.

A - Pours a cloudy golden-orange with a finger of thick frothy white head. The head fades down very slowly leaving behind some nice lacing. S - Aroma is a mix of sweet grainy and bready malts, Brett, tart green fruits, vanilla, oak, lemon zest, farmhouse aromas, spices, and a bit of sourness. T - Starts off with a mix of sweet grainy malts, tart green fruits, lemon zest, vanilla, and some light spices. Through the middle, the oak comes through with some Brett, farmhouse flavors, some sourness, and a bit more spice. The finish is a mix of tart Brett character, green fruits, oak, vanilla, lemon zest, farmhouse flavors, and some spices. M - Medium bodied with moderate-plus carbonation. Feels smooth with a tart, dry, and lightly sour finish. D - Very drinkable. Nice complex sour beer with great balance. The oak is a nice touch as well.

UPDATED: SEP 27, 2013 bottle shared by jean-michaël, thanks bro. pours hazy golden-orange with a nice compact off-white head, good retention and lacing. very fruity esters - blueberries and strawberries - or is it remaining drops from upland strawberry? nah, lightly tart red fruits, wheaty graininess, pepper and other spices, herbal-grassiness, farmhouse character indeed, light woodsy vanilla notes too - subtle use of wood. lively to moderate carbonation, light body - oily, abv very well hidden, lightly acidic, dry, musky and herbal-grassy-spicy-citrusy finish. well done. enjoyed as much as the non-BA version. beautiful..
