3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle shared with the group. Huge gusher upon opening, maybe the biggest Iíve seen losing greater than half the bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a slight orange and a big white head. The aroma and flavor have a nice farmhouse funk, light fruit, grass, yeast, dry Brett notes, very good. No real sign of anything bad, just very active yeast seemingly. Iím very disappointed about losing the rest of the beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750 ml bottle to snifter (shared by alexsdad06). Looks good; a milky golden orange with eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. smells good; saison yeast, brett, and spices. Tastes like it smells with a bit of fruit too. Pleasant on the palate. Good beer!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
At Jupiter during Sour Sunday 2014. (my first one from this brewery)
Hazy yellow with a medium head. Aroma and taste of lemon, wheat, hay, light spices and some light funk. Not bad but a bit strange in some kind of way.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Caution when opening. Very fizzy and I lost a precious ounce or so on the floor. Never trusted beers that come in fancy boxes or with wax seals, but have to change my mind on this one. Very funky barnyard aroma that carries over to the taste. Very nice balance of bitterness. Very full mouthfeel. Dry, crisp finish. Want more.
With Logsdon and Pfreim, Hood Riverís turning out some darn nice Belgians

Awesome beer. Pours orange with great head and lacing. Nice bretta integration, with some peppery lime. Light floral Belgian yeast. Finish is light sour with note of bitterness. Some crisp bretta-ness. Soft carbonation. Great stuff. Bottle from a shop in Victoria Iíve been sitting on.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Hazy saturated blonde with a good head. Huge gusher on opening...intensely fruity aromas featuring all the berries in the world. Low carbonation, everything left tje liquid on opening! Medium body, sweet, berries, finishes a bit sweet for a Saison. Lacking complexity a bit but nonetheless a good effort.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 into HF stemware. Clear golden pour with a giant head. Aroma is vinous grapes, brett funk, chardonnay, citrus fruits. Taste is phenomenal... Again with the grapes and white wine, brett funk with a slight peppery characteristic. Nice dry finish, man, I would drink this all day everyday.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
Pours a beautiful, glowing extremely hazy straw with a dense, cakey, bone-white head. Aroma is moderate funk, light sharp minerality, pear, lemon and red apple. Flavor begins with sharp citric acidity which gives way to a formidable wave of funk, ending in with slightly underripe pineapple and a very dry finish. Complex and funky without being overwhelming, balanced without being boring. I canít think of anything that could improve this guy.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Wax top 750ml to a Tripel Karmeliet tulip
Bottle # SB 33504
Bottle best by: 02/2018
A - Pours cloudy with a glowing burnt orange color. A tall concrete head that just sits there and melts at a very slow pace. Large sheets of lacing coat the inside of the glass.
S - Big Brett bouquet, pungent citrus with layers of earthy funk, a quick swirl brings out potent tropical fruit, pineapple, papaya, mango, lots of dusty grass aromas, spicy, limes, candy malt sweetness, old muted honey grahams.
T - Zesty limes and a multitude of tropical fruits, sharp and acidic as the nose describes, dry and spicy in the middle, with a timid and unsweet tart candy bite, limes continue along with some salty notes. Funk, earth and grass are present but take a backseat to the spiciness and the citrus acidity. A kiss of fruity sweetness emerges right before the dry finish.
M - Soft micro carbonation that stings the tongue, then turns smooth. Medium/full weight but does not deter from the beer.
They did not hold back on the brett for this beer. Itís like a roller coaster of aromas and flavors that change by the minute. At first pour itís bright and fruity, then it goes to earthy funk, then to spicy and dry, then to grassy, then dusty, and then it foes back through the whole wheel with morphed characteristics.
If you love Brettanomyces, I mean REALLY love it, then this beer is for you.
