3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Den Haag tasting at Maakun’s. Shared bottle. Dirty pear juice, opaque with white head. Orange juice, yoghurt, elderflower, nectar, dough, light spices, parsley, grassy spring onion, yeasty funk. Light sour, funky flowery. Moussant carbo. Funky funky weird stuff reminds me of Dochter van de Korenaar BA ipa stuff.

12-FEB-2016, bottle @Ulkløbben meeting, @Morten.
Murky yellow with a White head. Fruity more than spicy and yeasty - though it is there.
Flowery, creamy, dry. Really nice.

Bottle from CASK Pimlico. Cloudy orange, beautiful, dense foam. Intense sur fruit aroma, hints of cherries. Nice fsour fruit flavours as well, more mellow, with almond notes. A masterpiece.

Bottle shared, thanks Will. Bretty all the way, lots of barnyard, fresh orange, tart berries with a sour edge, floral notes, hints of goat cheese, dry earthy finish. Great complex brew, I guess that could be what you’d define as terroir flavors.

Murky, o.j. colored body with voluminous head. Nose is tart and rindy, bit of passionfruit, musty basement, gentle clove-y banana esters, fall leaves, gentle anise as it warms; overall a nice balance of herbaceous and fruity notes. Flavor is grassy, tart lemon, worn leather, green apple, spring flower petals and stems, softly puckering, acidity is rounded by ripe fruitiness. Boy oh boy. Very enjoyable.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Luxurious farhouse ale, brett is quite prominent and this is quite sour. Dry finish, reminiscent on Bon Voex in many ways in the body. Just a very well produced sipper.

March 28th, 2014 - Logsdon’s Seizoen Bretta caught my eye with its label’s lofty alpine scene, and the slightly lofty price tag. But the a fancy farmhouse brew promised to be delicious. A careful pour unravels a murky, soupy brown brew, with a beautiful snowy head of lacing, decorating the sides of the glass with long drapes of ornate and rococo mottling. The smell is slightly sour with tangy apple, white grape, and banana esters, but touched up a bit with a sprinkling of of distilled vinegar. The gorgeous coiffure gives the impression that the carbonation might be intense, but the bubbles are catering to a gentler palate, in order for a gorgeous flavor to shine through. Like the aroma, it’s a bouquet of berries, apples and bananas, but each flavor distinct and clear, and working in concert. The grain bill acts as a perfect backdrop, granting contrast, but invisibly. This is a wonderful beer, and perhaps best served before a meal to whet appetites for an incoming cornucopia.

750 shared at a tasting. Brett all over the nose with lots of orange peel, fresh-squeezed orange juice aromas. Active carbonation with a slightly creamy mouthfeel. More orange juice on the palate but not sweet. Dry and lightly peppery towards and through the finish. Bone-dry on the finish with wonderful carbonation and a citrus character that persists throughout. Fantastic beer that paired well with Estonian cheese (Thanks Raul!)!
