Our organic farmhouse ale is brewed in small batches on a traditional farm brewery as it has historically been made for hundreds of years. This unfiltered bottle of seizoen, with its beeswax seal, is naturally refermented and carbonated with select yeast strains producing fruity and spicy flavors that are balanced by hops and a soft malt character. Special Brettanomyces yeast provides added dryness and crisp complexity. For the most satisfying results, store upright in a cold, dark place and enjoy in a proper glass.

Murky golden color with lasting ivory head. Dry light bandaid, fresh raspberry, salmonberry, barnyard dung aromas. Light bodied with average co2. Nice earthy, fruity salmonberry flavors with dusty pale malt, dry spice, barnyard piss and dung--good.

Aroma is juicy fruit with moderate levels of tart lemon and some bittern rind. Flavor is a light berry fruitiness, no banana, with a refreshing yeast character including light hay and spice. Light to moderate clean bitterness, light citrus. Tartness comes through more as it warms; at first, I wouldn’t have noted the presence of Brett. Later, it becomes apparent just how well the sourness is integrated with the hop flavor and regular yeast. A lovely saison, utilizing Brett, yet remaining distinctive from the relatively homogeneous category of highly sour beers. The bitterness, however, can grate on you after a while.

Complex, delicate, floral, tropical, and lemon citrus nuances. Tart, fruity, perfumed, yeasty brett layers. Overall, fruity, yeasty, and very well balanced. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with a frothy and lacing off-white head, shaving foam style. Quite a gusher that keeps coming. Intensely astringent and leathery Brett aroma. Medium body, a sweet fruitiness, heavy, herbal brettyness leading to a dry finish. Very Bretty indeed but in a somewhat rough way. 200912

75 cl bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a huge off white head. Aroma is bretty, leathery and light phenolic. Bretty, citric, tart and dry light malty. Fruity and dry leathery into a bitter and light citric finish. Dry and light spicy finish.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with yeastie laces under a huge lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of yeast, brettanomyces, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, malt, caramel, and a bit of brettanomyces, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

This burst out of the bottle. Glad I had the good sense to open it over a sink. Opaque, hazy pale yellow-orange with a thick and pillowy off-white head. Armoa is spicy, with lemon, yeast, and only a mild Brett presence. Flavor is an initial blast of fruit and citrus that quickly gives way to lightly spicy, lemon-forward, cereal and bread, followed by a lightly tart, earthy, very dry finish. Maybe too young of a bottle for a more dominant Brett presence (drink-by date of 6/2017...five years out). Very enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with thick orange head leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is yeast and funk. Thin mouthfeel with a strong citrus and tart with crisp finish. Easy to drink a very good Saison from Logsdon.
