Our organic farmhouse ale is brewed in small batches on a traditional farm brewery as it has historically been made for hundreds of years. This unfiltered bottle of seizoen, with its beeswax seal, is naturally refermented and carbonated with select yeast strains producing fruity and spicy flavors that are balanced by hops and a soft malt character. Special Brettanomyces yeast provides added dryness and crisp complexity. For the most satisfying results, store upright in a cold, dark place and enjoy in a proper glass.

Pour is hazy golden/light orange with white creamy head and good lacing. Aroma of brett, herbal and earthy notes, fruity. Taste has that rustic saison caracter with some herbal notes and fruity esters, little sweetness and fairly dry finish. Low to medium body and lively carbonation. Good saison!

Cloudy orange pour with an off-white head. Aroma is a soft sour, light spice and yeast. Taste is a pleasant sourness, not puckering. Nice balance of spice, sour, and yeast flavors. Lacing is shown after each sip. Dry aftertaste. A soft flavorful beer.

Wild yeasts! Sour! Cloudy golden body, with a spicy, sour yeast body that shows limited citrus and loads of chalky mineral from the brett. Unique, refreshing and balanced.

750ml bottle. Pours super hazy gold with large fluffy, white head. Head even creeped out of the bottle before pouring. Smell was floral, brett, fruity, dried lemon, grassy. Taste is much the same a little funky, light tart, with all the wonderful flavors mentioned in the smell. A bit of spice and peach as well. Dry, medium bodied. Complex, refreshing, really, really nice.

Bottle at Lake Wenatchee <P> Foamy head atop hazy maize pour. Funky brett, bubblegum aroma. Tart with lemon juice and brett dryness. Strong flavors, 8% abv as opposed to the lighter thirst-quenching properties of some of my favorite saisons. Not particularly subtle in execution, but without obvious flaws. This compares not so badly with the classic Saison Dupont that I opened next. I feel like I’m lowballing it a bit here at 3.5 but I don’t see which category deserves a bump.

Hazy gold with a thin white head. Barnyard, black pepper aroma. Fruity, sour with a mild drying bitterness. Great flavors and balance. This would be fantastic with most vegetarian and seafood dishes.

751 mL Bottle purchased from Hunger Mountain for exactly $10.99. To snifter, it pours a chalky light orangeade, sudsy whitish head 1 finger in length. Smells of funky yeasts, cucumber, pizza dough, chamomile, mashed hay, sweet potatoes, wheat malt, and cherries. Tastes of asparagus, hash browns, blood orange peel, candied ginger, with hints of apricot, white chocolate, and rosemary. Peat moss, raspberries, and farmhouse yeast by swallow. Really good shit here. Get yourself some.
