COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our organic farmhouse ale is brewed in small batches on a traditional farm brewery as it has historically been made for hundreds of years. This unfiltered bottle of seizoen, with its beeswax seal, is naturally refermented and carbonated with select yeast strains producing fruity and spicy flavors that are balanced by hops and a soft malt character. Special Brettanomyces yeast provides added dryness and crisp complexity. For the most satisfying results, store upright in a cold, dark place and enjoy in a proper glass.

Bottled. An unclear dark golden beer with yeastie laces under a huge lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of yeast, brettanomyces, malt, and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, malt, caramel, and a bit of brettanomyces, leading to a dry finish. Thanks yespr for sharing.

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of yespr. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with a frothy and lacing off-white head, shaving foam style. Quite a gusher that keeps coming. Intensely astringent and leathery Brett aroma. Medium body, a sweet fruitiness, heavy, herbal brettyness leading to a dry finish. Very Bretty indeed but in a somewhat rough way. 200912

2012-12-21, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 7-4-8-4-15=38
Hazy golden color with small head. The aroma is sour, a bit cheesy. The mouthfeel is rather smooth; it has a cellar character, but also a very nice fruity, jam flavor, tea, jasmine flowers; the Saison character is milder than expected, but it’s also more fruity.
A bit confused on draught, but nice.

Orange golden color, cloudy, with creamy head. Nice aroma of hazelnuts, light Bretts. Highly carbonated, spicy flavor, a bit salty, with a hint of bitter oranges and some ending astringency and sourness, from the Bretts. Rough but good.

Bottle. A gusher, filling out hotel room floor carpet with lots of delicious yum. Big, off-white bubbles forms over a hazy, golden-orange body. The aroma is lighlty dry and brett-ish, with lemon notes and some faint caramel and nutty hints. Some dry, sourish fruityness in the aroma, with some malts and a peppery, spiced touch. Full body, nice carbonation. Lasting peppery and fruity finish. Sure a beer I’d like to see againg. 130811

Golden orangey amber. Thin head. The aroma is sweetish, bit gluey with light spice. Tart, gooseberry opening, sweet fruits, with a touch of pear in the finish and a bit of bitterness, and then the alcohol comes in the finish.
