4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
750mL, Bottle No 5B 7665, Best by 12/2016 from Olive Tree Market in OB, $11.19.Effervescent medium gold with a big three finger pillowy off-white head with great retention. Definitely has some fruity pineapple brett that is a little sour, but not crazy so thus far in the nose--the large head could be dampening the aroma, though. There is also some dusty white pepper and the earthy manure notes that seem pretty signature to these guys (at least the other two beers Iíve had) are present, but more hanging out in the background with some mineral notes. Flavor didnít seem quite as bretty or fruity, and the earthy rustic and pepper notes get much stronger. Flavor also is showing some alcohol as well, though no stronger than the stated 8% ABV. Bone dry finish, bitterness peaked at a Medium body with high carbonation. Pretty tasty, need to pick up a couple more bottles of these

750ml bottle, shared by alexsdad06. A mega-gusher, from what they tell me. Bottle SB 11837; best by 08/2017 (probably a good thing Brad didnít wait that long). My pour was the last bit from the bottle. Completely hazy, cloudy amber orange color. Thin bubbly white head, dots of lace. Awesome bretty orange citrusy floral aroma. Big yeasty flavor. Nice bigger sour flavor, light sweet. Kind of chalky. Bigger body, smooth, lightly creamy lighter carbonation. Dry finish. Lightly oaky. Kind of spicy. Pretty damn tasty bretty saison.

Interesting and pleasant beer. Beautiful hazy orange with a foamy, whipped head. Bretty, spicy nose. Smoothly carbonated. Snappy spices. Peppery and earthy with a rind-like bitterness. Fruity aromas of lemon, tangerine and white grapes. Some sourness. Dry finish.

Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured hazy golden orange color with a large frothy off-white head that was lasting with good lacing. Moderate to heavy brett yeast and citrus fruit aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy blalanced sweet & sour flavor with a medium to heavy sour & sweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex drinkable beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 ml bottle shared with the group. Huge gusher upon opening, maybe the biggest Iíve seen losing greater than half the bottle. Pours a hazy golden color with a slight orange and a big white head. The aroma and flavor have a nice farmhouse funk, light fruit, grass, yeast, dry Brett notes, very good. No real sign of anything bad, just very active yeast seemingly. Iím very disappointed about losing the rest of the beer.

750 ml bottle to snifter (shared by alexsdad06). Looks good; a milky golden orange with eggshell head that steadily dissipates into lacing. smells good; saison yeast, brett, and spices. Tastes like it smells with a bit of fruit too. Pleasant on the palate. Good beer!

At Jupiter during Sour Sunday 2014. (my first one from this brewery)
Hazy yellow with a medium head. Aroma and taste of lemon, wheat, hay, light spices and some light funk. Not bad but a bit strange in some kind of way.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Caution when opening. Very fizzy and I lost a precious ounce or so on the floor. Never trusted beers that come in fancy boxes or with wax seals, but have to change my mind on this one. Very funky barnyard aroma that carries over to the taste. Very nice balance of bitterness. Very full mouthfeel. Dry, crisp finish. Want more.
