4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750ml Bottle. The pour was a hazy medium orange with a large (2-3 finger) white dense frothy head that receded slowly down to a medium capwhich lasted throughout and had excellent stcky sheets of lacing.
the aroma was of a bold ly harsh grain malt and a musty Brett yeast with notes of citrus (lime and lemon peel), corriander and a strong fruity ester (apples and pears).
The taste was a bit grainy and a tad sweet with a nice strong fruity presence early on, and then became rather yeasty and a little tart with a nice crisp spicy taste and a build up or tatrtness towards the finish. the flavor stuck to the taste buds for a good while with a spicy tart yeast taste left to linger on.
mouthfeel was a few steps above light in body with a nice dry texture and a prickly carbonation.
Overall this was a superb representaion of the style. It possesed a nice crispness and a ton of flavor, now add a great drinkability and you have yourself one awesome brew. You can bet your sweet bottom that I am going to have another.

Murky orange with silky white head. Yeast, funk, orange, oak and spice. Spicy, dry, crisp and yeasty finish. Overall: too yeasty for me, but very nice finish.

Bottle. Seizoen Bretta is bottle-conditioned with pear juice, giving it high, natural carbonation. Pear, citrus, mushroom, horsehair, subtle breadiness and hints of floral spice swirl in the aroma as the bubbles pop. It’s a bit sweet for a saison, with sugary pear syrup, lemon zest and stone fruit leading the flavor. The brett does its best to balance, adding an earthy, musky quality without being overtaken. Incredibly fizzy, the beer expands in the mouth like a balloon, providing the tongue plenty of attention before a fairly sweet, alcohol-free finish. An aged bottle -- about two years old at this point -- displays pronounced pineapple along with pear skin and a bit of hay.

Champagne apricot color, with tons of bubbles, big rocky white head and very nice lace. Aroma of dried fruit - pears and melon, with earthiness and spices. Slight bitterness up front with white grape and lemon tartness in the middle, finishing dry. Bright Belgian yeast throughout. Light body, creamy mouthfeel, huge effervescence and a dry crisp finish.

Superbe.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light cloudy orange color. The smell is sour tempting (lactic). The taste is a little too boozy and not as sour as expected. A dry aftertaste. Not my favorite saison, but it has its strong points.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Very good Brett Saison. Appearance is a mammoth off-white, extremely frothy head that settles slowly, loads of lace, and a hazy orange amber color. Aroma is yeast, malt, pears, plums, spice. Flavor’s similar to nose, slightly sweet at first, then a bit of carbonic tang, followed by rest of characteristics and finishing again with a bit of bittersweet. Body is very good for this style and is the soft side. Overall, quite a drinkable beer.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer & Beyond. Thanks DSG. Cloudy orange with huge off-white head. Aroma of candy, sweet ripe banana and peach, milky with notes of caramel and bubblegum. Sweetish and sour flavor, notes of banana, pear and apple, light hoppy bitterness and notes of leaves. Lively carbonation, medium to full-bodied.
