Our organic farmhouse ale is brewed in small batches on a traditional farm brewery as it has historically been made for hundreds of years. This unfiltered bottle of seizoen, with its beeswax seal, is naturally refermented and carbonated with select yeast strains, producing complex fruity and spicy flavors balanced with hops and a soft malt character.

Draft at Snallygaster 2016. Poured a cloudy orange color with a fluffy white head. Aroma was light funk notes, barnyard. Flavor had some light and mild sweetness to it. Tasty light funk.

750mL bottle. Honey-gold pour, lively carbonation, rocky froth of a head with decent retention. Nose is fruit, grass, mild funk. Mouth is sharp from the carbonation, relatively sweet for the style (i.e. sweeter than I’d like in a saison), apple, pear, grass, honey, lemon peel, faint yeasty spice. Overall tasty but not exactly a classic interpretation of the style in my opinion. I’m curious what the Brett version is like.

Bottle. Clear orange pour with a thin white head and visible carbonation. Notes of farmhouse yeast, honey, minerals, bananas, peaches, apricots. Medium body, smooth mouthfeel, fizzy from the carbonation and with a bitter-sweet finish.

@Riga Craft Beer Fest, 8/16. I didn’t know Logsdon beers before, and having three of them this evening was a revelation to me! Aromas of vineyard peach, young brett, young brie with quite a sweetness in taste that never gets overdone or cloying, very fruity, with a slight and fitting bitterness, a dry finish and an aftertaste of wood, apples and cider.

Keg at Brewdog Soho, very traditional in feel - hazy gold with a lacing head, lemony spicy and lightly funky nose, leading to a peppery yet lightly sweet body, with lots of spicy and fruity complexity. Delicious.

Keg, Brewdog Leicester. Hazy yellow gold with a white head. Lemon with yeast and banana. Peppery coriander with cheesy funk. Peach stone with apricot syrup. Minerals with woody notes. Floral with bittersweet sherbet lemon. Peppery funky finish. Good.

375mL capped bottle. Even at the last pour its only a hazy golden color. Effective skill at balancing a pretty beer with a live beer. The head is always strong and long lasting. Its a foamy, lightly sticky head. Looks like a decent bubble bath beer. I am drinking this side by side with the Bretta version. Its interesting to drink the base beers of the Brett version Saisons. Well, I cold only think of Blvd that has the availability (albeit, Tank 7 has an additional dry hopping). So, I feel like this beer is really meant for brett-anizing rather than standing on its own. So, my perception of a bit too much sweetness and a stronger than desire malt biscuit - while all being fairly well contained - may be biased. I like it but I want it leaner with a bit of acidity to balance. A mineral and herbal yeast finish. I like it but I can’t help but think how much more I would like it with Brett.
