4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From old notes, tasted with Curtis and some friends in Nashville, probably some time near the summer of 2012, from a waxed 750mL bottle. Pours hazy orange with a thick white head that leaves average lace. The nose is classic spicy saison yeast with some green hops and light bread malt. The flavor is a touch malty up front, moving to full kumquat and orange peel, spicy yeast, and then some light hops bitterness. The body is medium with lively carbonation and a long spicy and orange peel finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml Bottle. Hazy dark golden straw colored pour topped with a generous layer of foam. Bright and floral aroma of honey, persimmon, pepper and orange rind. The taste is a blend of lemon, clove and coriander upfront along with some pineapple, peach and grassy hops toward the end. Plenty of carbonation and creaminess in the body with a final serving of ripe fruit and spice in the finish.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery.
A: Semi cloudy straw color with a very thin ring of white head.
N: Pine, straw, lemon rind, black peppercorn. Phenols and alcohol overtones. Touch of funk, though not on the level of bretta. Biscuit, cracker, and esters.
T: Slight sourness. Bitterness lends depth. Sweetness to give it flavor.
M: A bit dense comparatively, carbonation levels on the lower side.
O: Probably my least favorite of the regular Logsdons, and for good reason. (Aberrant is probably my least fave overall.) A good beer that just doesnít live up to the complexity Brett can provide.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
750mL Bottle. Peppery, white wine, orange and beeswax aroma. Zippy and friendly. On the palate, a unique Saison combination of bold orange-colored citrus, fresh peppercorns, and yellow birch. Well carbonated and effusive. The strain reminds me quite a bit of Dupont Avec; itís a wonderful Saison profile with nice honey notes and good tangerine character. Really enjoyable. The malt depth is a little shy and Iím not detecting much hoppy presence, save for a juicy and brassy bitter finish. Warming.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours hazy orange with a massive white frothy head that slowly settles, leaving residual white patterns that stick to the glass. Very nice on the nose: earthy, musky notes of grass, stable, fresh dew grass and hay that blends very nicely with citrus, peach, lemongrass, coriander, orange, slight honey and gooseberry. Taste is extremely well balanced: earthy notes again with musky notes that gives way to orange, coriander, citrus, white peppercorn, peach, gooseberry. Mouthfeel is dry and sprightly, almost champagne in body though somewhat more full-bodied. Aftertaste brings out some lovely tropical fruit and honey that slowly gives way to a long-lasting, very nice earthy, musky tone.
Fantastically well-balanced and perhaps the finest example of the style Iíve had so far. Exceptional!

4.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
this was an older bottle from 2011 from 16 tons bottle shop in eugene, or. stored this one for awhile. got this to near freezing to curb the imminent gushing (iíve learned!). popped and thought i was in the clear for a few seconds...slow off-white rise came out. it didnít go into full gush and i let it warm up in the counter for a good 15 mins. poured into a couple tulips and enjoyed the earthy, funk with some mushroom and lamb ragout, perfect pairing. the bright acidity came through and the i really enjoyed the earthiness.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Havenít had a bad Logsdon brew yet. Pours a rusty, hazy orange with continuing signs of life. Saison yeast and light grains on the nose. Taste gives you classic lemon and pepper noted, some mild fruitiness, nice complexity. Long, dry finish. I prefer the Bretta version but no complaints about this one.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Time delay gusher! 750 ml bottle poured a cloudy gold with a lasting off white head. Aromas of straw, earthiness, citrus, white pepper and yeast. Palate was light to medium bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of straw, yeast pepper and light citrus with a smooth dry lingering peppery finish.
