COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our organic farmhouse ale is brewed in small batches on a traditional farm brewery as it has historically been made for hundreds of years. This unfiltered bottle of seizoen, with its beeswax seal, is naturally refermented and carbonated with select yeast strains, producing complex fruity and spicy flavors balanced with hops and a soft malt character.

Bottle. Wonderful cloudy orange with rocky white cap. Aroma of yeast, barnyard, white pepper. Taste is similar. High carbonation but just great to drink.

Yellow color with big white head. Aroma is fresh and citrusy. Taste is citrusy-fruity, doughy, but with a heavy booziness towards the end. Interesting, but damn that booziness.

Bottle purchased and consumed in Hawaii whilst on vacation - very pleased to see several Logsdon offerings at the local wine store. Pour is pale, cloudy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is lemony and fruity with a hint of funk. Flavor is super fruity with a light background acidity and a bubblegum finish. Fruit forward with spicy banana and green pear dominating. Very much in line with a Belgian ale. Well constructed but not my favorite.

Bottle in my hotel room. Pours lightly cloudy yellow with a large, foamy white head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is a complex bouquet of peppery and farmhouse yeast, light pear esters, and earthy wheat malt. Flavor is farmhouse and earthy yeast, pepper, light banana and pear esters, earthy wheat malt, medium spicy hops and light bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation.

750 ml bottle poured into a schooner. This saison (seizoen) is funkier than George Clinton! Pours cloudy, rich gold with a creamy white head that leaves a blanket of lacing. Aromas of citrus, barnyard funk, nutty yeast, banana, bubblegum, sour candy, earth. This is a great old school saison, lightly hopped and more focused on the yeast and malt. Highly carbonated, the bubbles are lively in your mouth, but has a distinct sour flavor, almost Brett like in it’s funkiness. I really like the design of the label, and the beeswax sealed cap is nice, makes a nice gift. Definitely an ale for lovers of sour or old school farm ales. Has a somewhat creamy mouthfeel to balance the sour and funk. The 7.5% abv is well hidden. Pretty impressive saison from Oregon, would repeat.

Draught. Clear golden colour with medium white head. Aroma of spices and fruits, most like apples and orange peel, feels refreshing with note of yeast and grass really nice overall.
