The triple, or ’tripel’ style ale is probably the one style most commonly brewed by breweries is all of Flanders. Pure pilsner malt with a touch of oats provides a slightly sweet malty profile balanced by a judicious amount of whole cone noble Hallertau hops. Our triple is characterized by complex yet mildly spicy character from the compliment of traditional spices.

Bright golden, opalescent with a large pillowy white head. Aromas of straw, barnyard, floral, spicey light peppery notes with fruity alcohol-aromatic esters develop. Effervescent, lightly slick, mediul-full bodied. Briskly sweet with a juicy acidity and a light bitter spice note hanging at the back of the palate. Lasting finish. Very enjoable.

Tap @RCBF 2016. Clear amber color. Tiny size, white head, stays. Fruity, sweet, sourish, apples and mango in aroma. Apples, sourish, yeasty, peach in taste. Sweet and peaches in aftertaste. Something eggy too. Dry mouthfeel. Crisp carbonation. Not pressing my buttons.

Decent but simple maltiness, some grapefruit, peach, bit earthy hops. Light sweetness with light tartness. Balanced well. Lovely

Kickback share. Pours a hazy orange with a white head. Aromas of Brett and that’s most of it. Some sweetness comes through in the taste. Better than expected.

Bottle no. 5630. Best by date of 09/2017. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a glossy burnt yellow to orange color with a thick foamy white rocky head almost tipping over the glass. Semi-thick glossy foamy lacing appears as the head dissipated. The smell started off with floral sweet to dead grassy malt and running into some light spice (coriander?, maybe) The flavor produces a flaked oaty/grainy sweetness over the grassy sweet malt. Coriander somewhat comes back underneath. Grassy malt-like aftertaste. Quick finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a semi-sticky sort of feel to it. Overall, tripel? Hmmmm...could lean closer to a saison actually, not sure if I would have again.

Gusher! Burnt yellow, plenty of white head. Orange zest, lemon peel, spices throughout. Aroma filled the room. Same issue as the other US triples- familiar artificial candy malt sweetness. ---Rated via Beer Buddy App

Hazy dirty blonde colour. Aroma has a strong herbaceous accent, light sweet and slightly caramelly malts. The bitterness is barely enough.
