3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml flip-top bottle bought at Gorgeous Wine & Cigar in Yuen Long.
Golden honey colour; Two finger head and crumpety white foam which lasts for 1 minute; Small sticky lacing with some notable carbonation; Strong aroma of full malt, with bread, yeast, lemon and light grass; Very light sweet taste of full bready malt, with lemon, lime, herbs and strong grass; Mid to light body, slick and slightly oily palate; Mouth feel is typical well-made German Pils, very malty and bready, free of sugar and any foul tastes. Well done; Hoppiness is moderate, well expressed citrus, and expressive bitterness, yet not as strong as the archetypical Rothaus Pils, with lingering mid to light astringency for finish; Quite dry after taste, very easy to mouth.
Comments: An all round decent German Pils. Its hoppiness may not be as all out as Rothaus, yet it’s all typically honest, full on German maltyness. Solid, well-balanced, and very quaffable. This wild boar label really knows how to make good beer!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
500 ml swing top bottle, poured into a footed pilsner glass. ABV 4.9%
Deep yellow golden colour on the body, snow white colour on the head. Two fingers tall, nice lacing, good retention. Lotsmof activity in the body. This one looks good.
Smells good too, malts, some grass notes and a bit of hops, not much different from other pilsners out there.
Taste is bitter and hoppy from the very start, with a malt flavour. Aftertaste also bitter.
Light to medium thickness on the body, average carbonation. Fairly dry on the palate.
Overall a good, honest pilsner, suitable for everyday drinking.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 4/20
Very original Germany Pilsner. This is all there is. Clean refreshing beer, that goes well with a meat and potatoes kind of dish.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Verhalten hopfig-grasiger Duft.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
50cl Bottle from bierkoning, thanks Edo! Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of straw, cocoa, a bit of caramel, bready malts, light hoppy. Flavour is light sweet, malty, nice classic pilsener flavours, light fruity, hint of cocoa, good grassy bitter finish. Light-bodied. I quite liked this.

2.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The beer pours pale yellow and clear in the glass, with a flat white head. It smells sweet-grainy and hoppy-flowery. Starts dominant hoppy bitter, malty and slightly grainy in the background. The middle part is very hoppy, bitter and grassy, with a slight hay aroma in the background, paired with some grain. Goes into a citrus-fruity, bitter hoppy finish with some grainy-bready bonds!
