3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, bought @ Aakjærs, Esbjerg.
Pours fine, hazy chestnut with a large, frothy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, light nutty, some banana, light apple, caramel. Medium carbonation, fine light creamy palate. Flavour is mild, quite a lot of pear-like bubblegum that feels a bit funny and a tad out-of-place. Light banana, some caramel and a bit of walnut. Fine dunkelweizen.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bügelverschlußflasche (Dank an joss!): Almost clear, chestnut-amber coloured, mid-sized creamy off-white head; distinctive caramelly, almost a bit chocolatey, nose with a moderate wheaty-fruity background; moderate - mainly - sweetish flavour with a light acidity in the background; sweet caramelly finish, sprinkels of cacao and wheaty spots detectable. Pleasant Dunkelweizen.....

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
500ml bottle (One PInt Pub, Helsinki, AugustFest2010)
6 Roasty at first, but also a little earthy aroma; also a touch of fleshy fruit esters.
4 Murky red, small bready head
7 Fairly burnt caramel component, otherwise quite simple fruity esters over a medium roast malt body. Some light bitter hint.
4 Smooth palate, pleasant carbonation. Quite refreshing, not as sweet as many a dunkelweisse, which is nice.
13 Went down really well, no sludginess which sometimes afflicts dunkel weisses, and the sweetness is kept in check. Good one.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle 50cl. A brown beer with nice head. Smell is on wheat and brown malt. Aroma is nice on brown malt, not much on weizen side, quite creamy, nice roasted notes, very drinkable. A good beer anyway.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
It’s unclear, dark brown with a huge, lasting, creamy head. The aroma has notes of banana, caramel, yeast, wheat and fruit. The flavour is sweet with notes of caramel, banana, slightly spricy yeast, and the overall-impression is soft, harmonic and very full-bodied dunkel weisse, one of the best I have had of this style.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle brought back by a friend from Germany, thanks man! Pours a deep copper-red color with a 1/2 inch, dense beige head that dissipated to a thin layer relatively quickly. Aroma of light caramel, a soft fruitiness (mainly banana paired with some faint orange), some phenolic spiciness (clove), and a light yeastiness. Smooth, lightly crisp entry with a moderate earthy dryness and some light caramel sweetness that transitions into a clove spiciness paired with a moderate fruitiness (banana) that lingers into the finish and joins a lightly dry, doughy yeastiness. Light carbonation and average mouth feel. Overall, a nice beer that exhibits some enjoyable traits but lacks the depth that would push it over the top.
