Bottled. A cloudy muddy brown coloured beer with a huge off white quite creamy head. The aroma is good, with bananan, toffee, caramel and chocolate. There is more chocolate in the taste and a bit of bruised stewed bananas. A bit odd at first but it smooths out to a good drop towards the end of the half litre.

Bottle. Okay i have sampled many Hefe dunkles in my day, but this is a good go to beer. While the appearance is your average dunkel, nice head, decent brown. The taste is distinct of malt and light fruit without being overpowering. FOr me this is a little bit on the light side, but a great introduction to this style.

Hazy nut-brown colour, creamy off-white head. Dry, smokey aroma. Caramelly, wheat flavor. Quite personal dunkelweizen.

Bottle. Nice strong banana/clove aroma. Clear dark tan color with decent light tan head. Light banana/clove color with the merest hint of hops and malt in the finish but decent palate. Lightest dunkelweizen I have ever had. Tastes fine but not really indicative of the style at all.

Swing-top Bottle Conditioned. BBE Jan 2004. Mahogany colour with large head that soon settles. Mouth feel is surprisingly neutral considering the initially large head. Large malty aroma and flavour - sort of banana bread. A pleasant brew, though watery body begins to make it itself felt after a while.

Not bad, but not the best. Smooth and not too watery.

Got darker than the Hell version, but lost it’s aroma and flavors on the way doing so.
