guzzler (77), AE, Germany May 11, 2003 Kind of light and hoppy with a nice clean nose. Not much of a head. Somewhat dry finish. Another German pils.
MoritzF (3865), Ruhrpott, Germany Mar 17, 2008 (bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a fluffy blond foamy head. Herbal and slightly grassy hoppy nose with a light malty sweetness in the background, also a bit perfumed. Bitter-sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a moderate, slightly crispy mouthfeel. Slightly papery malty taste with herbal accents from the beginning; dry and moderately bitter and a bit short finish. Mediocre German Pilsener (17.03.08). MrRomero (1881), Wiesbaden-Biebrich, Germany May 24, 2007 500ml bottle: poured light yellow with a medium sized white head. Crisp hop aroma, lightly herbal. Enjoyed this with dinner. Flavor is crisp, fairly clean with a slight bit of metal. Light fruit with a mild bitter finish. Pretty good and quite thirst quenching. HogTownHarry (3200), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Aug 29, 2006 Bottle (500ml best before 19.01.07). Thanks to my friend Austin for bringing this back from Germany in his luggage. Pale slightly hazy yellow, lots of bubbles, huge pillowy white head. Very dry aroma, almost starchy, actually *smells* sticky - lightly fruity malt, very herbal soft hops in plenty, light tart fruitiness - odd, really. Taste is similar, more grain, still that odd starchy character, the hops are soft but very herbal and grassy - certainly quite quenching. Lively, somewhat watery mouthfeel, lightly astrinent, medium-long soft grain/herbal bitter finish. Not your run-of-the-mill, would be really good with roast chicken. sk8viking (6077), Copenhagen, Denmark Mar 3, 2006 Bottle. Golden colour with a big white head. Hay aroma and a light sweet bitter, hay taste. Medium body with a dry finish. shrubber85 (2500), Wallhalben, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany Nov 20, 2004 Tap. Flowery hop aroma. Tan color with ample head. Strong hops flavor with only light malt. Nice and more hoppy than typical German pils.
