2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 faroeviking (8805) - HAITI - JAN 18, 2010
Botella. Clear deep golden brownish colour, medium fairly well lasting head. Sweet malty alco caramel aroma. Good mouthfeel. Sweet malty caramel alco-bitter flavour. Alco maltish finish. Indeed an alco-brew.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 FatPhil (6216) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 15, 2009
500ml bottle (Iki, Vilnius)
Rich clear reddy brown, brief head. Huge sweet aroma - spicy and like some boiled sweets or seaside rock without the mint. Very caramelly malt taste, some esters including banana. Finish is initially very malty, but then a bite of noble hops kicks in once the sugar’s disolved. Occasional hints of its 7.5%, but not boozy, that’s for sure. I think I miscategorised this - I’d call it a bock after drinking it.
1.4 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 motelpogo (5048) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - NOV 4, 2007
bottled. amber, mealy-mouthed texture, sweet, raw sugar, pretty industrial and hard to force down
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20 strings (377) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - OCT 8, 2006
Bottle. Terrible concoction of confused flavours. Kind of like the combined dregs of a cheap whiskey cocktail and a fruit salad (one heavy on the melon and kiwi fruit).
1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Jukkabro (3473) - Tampere, FINLAND - JUN 27, 2006
Light brown color, no head. Sweetness, honey, mild alcohol, light butter and skunky tones in aroma. Medium bodied. Flavor is also sweet and buttery with tangy tones, aftertaste has medium alcohol with lasting dryness. Unclean product.
1.5 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 6/20 AlutisLt (9) - LITHUANIA - NOV 14, 2004 does not count
Very unclean-like beer, fuzzy and again with no aroma and palate. Sweet and hard to drink when warm...
1.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 jbrus (4990) - Delft, NETHERLANDS - SEP 15, 2004
Orange and pear aroma. Orange color, very small white head that disappears immediatly, no lace. Sweet, bit sour in the back, bitter, orange/pear. Oily, sticky, bit warming, unbalanced.
0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 Oakes (10202) - Gibsons, British Columbia, CANADA - JUL 22, 2004
Dull copper, no head. Aroma is huge diacetyl, plus celery and cinnamon. Sweet, with a slight alcohol note. Vegetal, caramelly, and laden with diacetyl. Thank god the finish is quick and relatively painless.
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 omhper (15965) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - JUL 19, 2004
Bottled. Clear deep golden, less head than tap water. Aroma of mashed apples, alcohol and toffee. Thin and fairly sweet with a hint of acidity. Funky and unclean.
