Easy and good porter, opaque, dark foam but almost no resulting head. From tap. Appealing smell, tastes of malt with appropriate bubbly mouth feel.

On tap at Patricks. It pours a very dark brown body under a creamy beige head leaving lacings. The aroma is roasted and coffeeish, with quite a lot of licorice. Caramel. There’s some malty sourness in the flavor, with roasted malts, coffee and caramel. Some licorice towards the finish. Full to medium body, creamy combination. Lasting finish. A pleasant one indeed, but a bit one dimensional. 140423

Black body, light brown head, good lacing. Moderate to strong aroma, roasted notes, berries and fruits in the back. The fruity notes are even more present in the flavours, also dark berries and caramel. A nice one.

UPDATED: APR 1, 2014 On tap @ Grunerløkka Brygghus. A deep dark cloudy almost murky brown burgundy with a nice lasting light brown creamy top. It smells of chocolate, cocoa powder, some coffee acidity and it smells in general really nice. Tastes really nice also. Feels creamy oily in the mouth with a nice soft to average carbonation level. Strong dark cocoa powder, the bitter dry kind with some chocolate, dark malts, some reeds and hints of vanilla all the way in the finish. Really lightdrinkable and definitely tasty. 16.10.2013 - 6-4-6-4-14

On tap @ Crowbar. This is a dark and deep near black one, it has a nice big really lingering and super lacing beige top. On the nose it has traces of licorice, roasted malts some faint black sweetness and hints of leather. Nice enough. It has this super gliding feeling in the mouth and it’s quite soft on the prickling bubbles. Tastes nice with light roasted flavors. Chocolate, the sweet kind, licorice, hints of wet rocks and some traces of light acidic coffee in the back. I quite like this and would kit have any problems buying this again. 16.02.2014 - 6-4-6-4-13

Very dark brown (in a dark pub, at least.). Nice foamy, medium brown head. Light caramel and malt aroma. Mouthfeel is medium and lively. Slight bitter chocolate aftertaste.
