1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Spiesy (2336) - Sydney, - SEP 26, 2003
Bottled. Drunk on location in Barcelona. Pale, clear gold body with a steady medium head that formed islands of white in my beer. Grape and aniseed aromas, citrus as well. Medium length on the palate. Coming in a clear bottle decorated with floral nonsense. At the time it was definitely a beer for rates sake. www.lola.es
1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Bart (2513) - Brussels, BELGIUM - DEC 20, 2005
Golden-yellow colour, average sprankling, diminishing small white head. Sweet aroma, citrus, little hoppy. Taste is like limonade with citrus, finish is just sweet, just another bad flavoured lager. Should these drinks bring the young one’s closer to the beer? I don’t believe it.
1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 Bov (7364) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - OCT 11, 2005
Great ! Another flavoured beer ... Clear golden-amber colour with a little foam; the first surprise is that the flavour is not overwhelming and just a touch of lemon and rhum is noticable; sweet and light-bodied, no bitterness at all amd am incredibly flat finish - scandalous
1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 JorisPPattyn (6747) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - SEP 4, 2005
Fully clear, pale gold; quite dense, white head. Faint nose, bit of grain, bit of ureum. Flat, dull-sweet taste, as a pilsner where one has tried to extract EVERY distinctive flavour. Light. Well, VERY light. This is a bl**dy disgrace. I even didn’t get a glass for this - for shame. Then again, do I really want to meet Lola? That’s the "gal" that liked cherry-cola from the song, no?
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 omhper (15965) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - SEP 26, 2003
Bottled. Lousy lager in a gimmicky bottle, made for the Spanish market. Golden colour. Sweet and grainy, mellow and unclean.
