75cl bottle. Pours black with a thick frothy off-white diminishing head; a "gusher". Smells of sweet and roasted malts, with a hint of.. cinnamon? Tastes of chocolate and roasted coffee. Feels creamy, and is a bit lively on the tongue, finishes hoppy and bitter. The lingering bitter aftertaste ruins it for me.

finalmente ci siamo.questa è una bella stout con i classici sentori tostati e di caramello contrastato dal giusto amaro ed una buona persistenza.

Birthday gift from Barley Wine. Bottled. A Dark brown beer with a brown head. The aroma has notes of malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, alcohol, and hops, leading to a dry and lightly bitter finish. The body is light.

4th June 2010. Bottle. Cloudy dark brown beer. Little brown head. Crisp palate- very dry. Subtle chocolate and coffee are dominated by lightly smoked malt, Bitterish dry finish with the bitterness coming from the hop. Competant but found this too much like hard work.
