4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 ogivlado (4990) - Zagreb, CROATIA - APR 29, 2013
Bottled 750ml. -from La Rinascente, Milano. Murky amber coloured, medium to big sized pale beige head, fresh hoppy nose. Moderate malty, flowery hoppy and mild citrusy with notes of elder in the finish. Pleasant, aromatic and enjoyable brew, and one of the best Italian beersthat I’ve tried in past few years.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Marko (3614) - Split, CROATIA - APR 20, 2013
Ogi’s. "La 9" and has 6.5% alcohol. Umm... What? Poured a murky amber-brown body with a big, fluffy nice off white head that went away relatively slowly. Nice, really fresh notes of elderflower and maltiness, with very light soapy notes, aroma hops, some orange. Fresh taste again, apricot, orange rind, nicely and very much aromatic, peach juice, slightly lactic, quite lovely and enjoyable - these last 3 Italian beers were definitely a nice surprise, though I’m sure that Ogi paid quite a lot for them.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 Mortlach (715) - Rome, ITALY - APR 11, 2013
11/04/2013 La Tana (handpump). Ambrata, miele, limpida, schiuma biancastra sporca abbondante e persistente. Al naso sentori di malto e luppolo, note erbacee. In bocca è un po’ confusa, l’attacco è dolciastro, maltato, il finale è amaro ma non così secco come mi sarei aspettato. Corpo medio, carbonazione soft. Un po’ caotica e confusionaria.
4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 GT2 (5661) - Riverslime, California, USA - SEP 8, 2012
Tap at PP Olde Towne. Pours a full haze reddish amber. Creamy beige foam. Excellent retention. Nose is spicy, nutty, earthy. Taste is heavy dust, wood, spicy forest, forage, nuts. Quite hoppy and mildly cheesy. Palate is dry, aerated, forage bitterness. Complete sheety lacing. Yum. I really liked it. Like a dry, non sticky, DIPA.
