3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Boutip (3467) - Gatineau, - FEB 20, 2011
Bottle: Poured a cloudy pale yellow color ale with a huge foamy head with great retention and some excellent lacing. Aroma of bready yeast with lightly sweet malt notes is intriguing and different. Taste is also very strong on the bready yeast notes with some lightly sweet malt and a somewhat dry finish. Body is full with some very limited filtration and great carbonation. I could not have guessed this was a witbier had I not looked at the site description but really tasty after all.

Palate: Medium body, fairly lively effervescence.
Flav.: Nice funk and bitter herbs, juicy citrus, esters, biscuit, yeast, nice; dry with decent bitterness and an odd bite in the back of the throat.
I liked it. We all suspected some level of infection. Would be interesting to try a fresh, “healthy” bottle...

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Wolfbass (589) - Firenze, ITALY - JUL 24, 2011
Molto beverina
