Draught@ beer festival in Rome. Plastis glass! Amber body with frothy white head. Pleasent aroma, light malt, herbal and fruity. Flavor is not much present, maybe some light cereal, watery and a bit empty. Long herbal hop finish. Not quite impresed.

0.75l, around 9€ at the Rockmark, Croatia’s first "music library", in Zagreb. Mmmkaaay. Shared with Ogi & Maja of course. Opened with a huge bang & gushed a little (yeah, apparently an Olmaia thing). Daaark amber body, murky, with a huuuge lasting off white head that stayed there forever. Creamy, sweetish malty aroma, apricot/peach & dust, tiny bready note... humm.... Somewhat empty taste driven by a herbal hopiness, ends "stupidly" bitter. Ok, smooth malty background. Overpriced, unbalanced, too simple, and yet not entirely bad I guess. I can’t think of a person to recommend it to though.

Courtesy of & thanks to Kraddel. 75 cl. bottle sampled @ “Poppyland Sucks Tasting” @ the Barely legal tasting room. Hazy oily orange with only some bubbles on top. Smells quite oily, herbal bitter, touch herbs, medicinal hops, bit watery. Tastes bitter herbal, touch alcohol, oily some watery sugar, sweetish leading into herbal and touch medicinal hop finish. Somewhat watery body. Nothing in the way of balance or structure but it is enjoyable.

75cl bottle @ Da’r Gallo, paired with carpaccio with truffle; good and easy to drink, hoppy and well balanced, but a bit too earthy and yeasty. Carbonation too high

Hazy amber beer with a small off white head. Smooth palate, a little dry. Bitterish marmalade hops with a little grapefruit. Light apply streak. Reasonable malt base. Finishes dry and bitter. Could do without the apple, but otherwise good.

Taste comprises earthy hops, bitter orange, yeast notes, bready malt, apple skin, light toffee. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish with bitter notes. Ok bitter.

Bottle at GBBF 2013 and drunk at home. Hazy dark amber colour with lasting off white head. Malty aroma, indeterminate yeast aroma. Good condition. Some good peppery hop on finish. I’m guessing it’s a British Best Bitter. In that case it’s excellent. A good blend of yeast malt and hop. Really characterful and a good example of the style.
