3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   Just about black in color, moderate to large frothy light biege head, spotty lacing.   Sweet
roasted malt nose, very smidgen of soy, peat, and campfire.   Straight forward lightly roasted malts, sweet
lactose, and some peat/campfire on the tongue.   Not a heavy example, but a little different from most porters.
Luckily it has a decent malt base, and isnít overly hoppy.   One of my biggest gripes about the style,
overly hopped without enough malts.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   More soy as it warms.   Has a bit
of dark bittersweet chocolate as well.   Fairly tasty and robust.   Not over the top, not real complex, a
little simple, but smooth and fairly flavorful.   Could stand to be a bit heavier to compete with others, but as
is its fairly tasty.   Clean, just needs more complexity and body.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a beer I rave about. Black with medium beige head. Full aroma of chocolate and malt. Full bodied. Cocoa, coffee and just a tinge of hop. Not super strong, but with enough muscle.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
22oz bomber courtesy of Luke.
Pours fairly light for a Baltic porter, settling in as a dark chocolate brown with a decent beige head that recedes to a patch of foam in the middle. Not much lacing.
Aroma is dominated by roasted chocolate malts and coffee with some sweet dark fruits and a hint of smoke. There is a sweet molasses presence as it warms a bit.
The taste is a slightly smokier version of the nose. Itís still dominated by dark chocolate and roasted coffee, but the smoke seems to be a bit more pronounced and there is more sweet nutty character than in the nose.
Mouthfeel is velvety smooth with strong carbonation. it might be a tad light bodied for a Baltic porter but itís still decent.
This is a very tasty beer though it tastes like a cross between a Baltic porter and a schwarzbier. Surprisingly good and the smoke kinda caught me off guard.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber courtesy Sam. Pours a clear darkish brown color with a khaki froth. Roasty coffee aroma, some powdery cocoa, a hint of dark caramel/molasses. Flavor is similar but with a smokey tinge to it. Sweet, simple, drinks like a schwarzbier almost. A little underwhelming. This ainít gonna warm you up in the Nordic winter.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bomber from Belmont Station. Super dark brown in color, with a light beige head. Rich fudge in the aroma with some dry toasty and roasty malt. The flavor is creamy and smooth with sweet chocolate and light hops. Borders on being to sweet and one-dimensionally chocolatey, but I still dig it. Full bodied and smooth. While I could see this being better with a more complete fermentation, I still dug it as-is.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from bomber, dark brown with minimal tan head. Nose was a bit musty, smoky. Complex taste; chocolate, coffee. Medium thin bodied with a cola like feel. Interesting beer, would try again.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Thanks to Brandon for the bomber! Poured translucent, medium-dark brown with a tighter-bubbled beige head. The aroma picked up lots and lots of sugars.. mostly caramel and molasses with a lighter roast to it.. vanilla and light buttery notes too.. just a hint of sourness present.. entirely pleasant, but underwhelming for a Baltic porter. The flavor did the same thing.. sweet, buttery chocolate and caramel notes at the core with light coffee bitterness and roast surrounding.. lightly sour coffee notes and a splash of alcohol warmth on the mostly sweet finish.. not that complex, but candied and tasty. Medium-bodied and sweet as mentioned on the palate.. the splashes of sourness and roast worked well.. OK and very drinkable, but I was hoping for more.

Bomber; thanks Brandon!! Pours thin dense brown with trace tan head bubbling along the edges; sweet candy malt on the nose with some coffee and faint sweet roast; texture is thin and finish is bone dry; cola sweetness and a little chaulky mouthfeel

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber shared by Arbitrator at a tasting.
Pours darkest brown with a small tan head and good lacing.
Aroma is roast, dark chocolate, and coffee. Very nice and roasty.
Flavor is excellent. Seems like a coffee beer - huge coffee flavor. Dark chocolate, roast, and lots of earth as well.
Fairly thin on the palate with drying roastiness.
Drinkable and very tasty. Thanks, Arby.
