Sampled at the DC Local Tasting a 22oz bottle pours a watery opaque black with some spitty white eggshell head. Nose is sweet, brown sugar, vanilla, coconut, toast. Flavor is sweet, molasses, vanilla, coconut, malty, toast. Medium bodied, smooth finish.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with red tint and thin beige head; spare lacing. Aroma is dark fruit, bourbon, brown sugar, and toasted malt. Flavor matches the nose with heavy bourbon/alcohol notes. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of beerandblues2, thanks! Barrel aged. Clear dark maroon, white edge head, barrel aged. Taste is subtle bourbon and sweet chocolate, barrel aged, of course. Taste is better because it’s barrel aged.

Sweet chocolate and roasted nose with dark fruit and ash. Taste is sweet and ashy , sweet and chocolaty.

Bottle. Pours opaque with a medium fizzy light tan head, medium retention with light lacing. Aroma is bourbon, oak, chocolate and roast malt with dark fruits. Flavor is dark malt, oak and bourbon, light hops and dark fruity esters with a sweet finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

22 oz. bottle; dense black pour; light creamy texture with stale malt and dry sugar; light bourbon and roast on the nose; some licorice, vanilla, oak, coffee and candy sugar; almost a baltic porter to me with the sugary, lager-like sweetness; texture is thin and still; quite nice overall
