COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
To call C-Note very hoppy would be an understatement. It’s brewed with the seven "C" hops (Crystal, Cluster, Cascade, Chinook, Centennial, Columbus and Challenger) and pushes the bitterness limit to 100 International Bitterness Units.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours amber with a light beige head. Aroma of citrusy and floral hops, and some pale and caramel malts. Flavor about the same, with not enough malts to balance the hops. Average texture. I with this was a little hoppier and had more caramel maltiness to offset the pale malts.

Nice alcohol content, but the flavor is slightly offensive. I would not try it again, but I am interested in what else Lompoc has to offer.

Caramel brown in color... Aroma is light citrus hops... Notes of caramel malts initially which gives rise to a pronounced citrus hop bitterness on the palate... Solid ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Orange pour with a light tan head. Aroma is citrus bomb. Grapefruit, orange, lemon, a little pine. Flavor is similar. Not very bitter but a big citrus note. Good.

Tap at Fifth Quadrant (NOL) - 07/11/12. Lightly hazed mid amber with a decent sized off white head. Good lacing ensues. Nose comprises pale malts, light floral notes, hops, touch of pine. Tastes piney, hoppy, light grapefruit, touch of minerals. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, smooth on the palate, bitter finish. Ok pale - would reccomend.

Out of the bottle. Pours a darker copper color with a small white head. Smell is a little malty with a decent hop smell. Not overly hoppy taste as it is 100 IBU, but still enough for me. A malty nutty finish. This is a great beer.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Light malt and light citrus aroma. Citrus and light pine flavor with light caramel. Medium bodied. Citrus and light pine lingers with light caramel and a light herbal note.

650ml bomber pours a pale amber color with a 2 finger white head that settles quite quickly and leaves only a few spots of lacing. Aroma is grapefruit, pine and other citrus with some earthy notes and caramel. Taste is a wonderful blend of hop bitterness with a decent balance from the caamel malty sweetness. A nicely balanced IPA that is quite tasty and deserved of a tasting.

Poured from a bottle. Not a big head; not a lot of carbonation. Aroma of hops, but taste is not as smooth as I expected. Too much hype around this one. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Portland, Or - John’s Market Place - 22 oz bomber. Dark copper pour - bubbly off-white head, light lacing. Fruity aroma, some ripening vegetable notes. Flavor has some, a bit of dull citrus bitterness, a hint of potting soil. Uneventful mouthfeel. Not my favorite on my trip to the PNW.
