COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our lightest and smoothest. An excellent blend of malt and hops that makes a great year-round beer.

Draft. Golden beer with a cream head. Light malt aroma. Malt and wheat flavor with light earthiness. Medium-light bodied. Malt and wheat linger with light earth and light citrus.

Draft at Fifth Quadrant. Golden color (no, really). Aroma of straw and malt. Taste is not too bitter. Plain.

Faint malty cereal aroma but neutral. Clear and straw colored with frothy white head. Wheat flavor backed up by minimal hoppiness for a balanced finish. Light body with slight carbonation. Trace of creamed corn flavor but still light enough to be sessionable.

Draught at brewpub. Light and somewhat drinkable. Straw color. Not memorable in any real way. Pass.

[2958-20100626] Tap. Not much aroma other than a little grains. Slightly hazy, medium orange body with a medium-lasting creamy white head. Light apple juice flavour has some grains and a yeasty aftertaste. Light body. Nothing special.

Malty aroma with maybe a little honey? Some slight malt support. Medium gold in color, clear, medium carbonation and a white head that fades quickly. Brief malt on attack then medium bitterness and a nice gradual marriage into a lengthy finish. Creamy texture, medium body, medium carbonation, fairly dry and slight astringency. Refreshing summer beer. Needs a little rounding out but is a decent session beer.

2010-06-26. Yellow body with a tiny white head. Flavour has mild bitterness throughout, mild sweet pale malts. Muted aroma, mild pale malts, and muted grassy hops. Average plus palate. Meh, ok but quite mild, bland. Obviously their beer for the masses. On Tap at the brewpub, Portland.

Ordinary looking gold beer with a ring of head. Surprisingly hoppy aroma for a blonde al with a floral bitterness to it. The body is a mild blend of hops and 2-row grain. Despite the somewhat watery finish, this is above par for the style.

Rightly classified as Old Lompoc’s "lightest ale." So light, if you blink you’ll miss it. The only ale I’ve ever had as light was the Texas Light out Texas Brewing of Fr. Worth, TX. (Don’t even know if they’re still around...). Think summer session ale. I might try it next time with a lime, just for fun.
