COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This Belgian Style Red Ale was brewed with the Belgian Ardennes yeast strain in October 2009 and aged in Cabernet Franc barrels for 13 months. It was then blended in a tank with the 2010 Brewdolph. It has a malty and creamy body, a mild fruitiness, and a spicy, oak flavor.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a cream head. Yeast and brett aroma with light spice. Malt and caramel flavor with yeast, brett, and red wine. Medium bodied. Tart and light red wine lingers with earth and light malt.

Draft at uber. Pours a crystal clear rubied dark brown with a dense and creamy tan head and decent sheeting lace. Big penetratingly vinous nose with tons of oak. Creamy medium body. Caramel, butterscotch, vinous tannins, and sweet oaky vanilla aplenty on the mid palate. Long tannic finish.

On tap at Uber Tavern, pours an opaque caramel orange / amber with a small beige head. Aroma of toasted nuts, bourbon barrels, dark fruits, butterscotch and light sour notes. Flavour of bourbon-tinged dark fruits, lots of booze, toasted nuts, and slight sour notes. Medium complexity with a unique flavour profile.

On tap at Fredfest. Pours cloudy copper with a decent off-white head and an oaky aroma. The flavor is quite complex with a winey taste and a toffee finish. There is a fruity yeasty side to the flavor from the Brewdolph side of the blend. It all goes well together resulting in a delicious and unique brew.

At Holiday Ale Festival in Portland. Pours light brown with cream clings. Spicy aroma, some caramel, yeast. Toasty and dark fruits in taste, spicy finish. A little too carbonated.

Holiday Ale Fest. Mixture of too much yeast and some dark fruits and spices (pepper, cardamom, light cinnamon). It was all just a little too muddled together for me though.

Tap @ Holiday Ale Fest... Poured deep amber/rust color with a white head. Nose was yeasty, well spiced, and oaky. Foamy mouthfeel, oak, sweet cream, lots of fruits and spices.
