Tap at OBF. Pours light amber. Aroma is a bit earthy with a hint of ginger and some citrus. Near med body. Flavor is peppery and earthy. There’s a little biscuit, more fruit and some nice spice. Might be ginger. It’s finishing spicy, dry and a bit earthy. Really nice.

Different name, but the barman assured me this was the New Old Lompoc Saison revived. Orange yellow pour with thick white head. Spicy aroma. Flavour is very citrusy and hoppy like an IPA. Hop finish
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Beardface (1509) - Eugene, Oregon, USA - AUG 9, 2010
Tap at 5th Quadrant. Poured a slightly hazy golden color with a nice white head. Smells of pepper, ginger, some light floral notes and a bit of lemon. Tasted of apples, spice, a hint of bubblegum, pepper, ginger. Very light on the tongue and an excellent thirst quencher during the warmer months I’d imagine.

Sampled at the SpringBeerFest in Portland. Hazy yellow gold with an enormous dense white head that leaves thick lace on my big sample glass. Sweet and spicy aroma, ginger and doughy bread (not to be confused with gingerbread-- no molasses or anything dark). Light and zesty palate, creamy mouthfeel. Dusty yeast, biscuity malt, intriguing spiciness (I really can appreciate the ginger and the pepper here). Tart finish. This beer really took me by surprise. A nice reprieve from the hop onslaught!

Tap @ 5th Quadrant... Poured golden/orange with a thin white head. Aroma of spices, yeast, and earthy tones. Very spiced beer. Tart yeast tones, fruits, oats, lemon zest, honey, cinnamon, and light hops. Vastly complex for the mild ABV strength. I just wish it was a little cleaner.
