This pitch black ale has strong flavors of roasted coffee, chocolate and raisins that are balanced by the acidic dark malts and end with a creamy, smooth finish.

On tap at the Lompoc Tavern in Portland, OR. Aroma is chalky, with subtle hints of coffee. Mouthfeel and taste is creamy, thin, and slightly sweet.

Had at the Tavern on 23rd. Pretty easy drinking, light stout. Has a bit of a chalkiness to it. A bit overcarbonated. Nothing wrong with the beer, just not great!

"Nitro pour. Thin but smooth. Raisiny chocolate sweetness. Lightly roasted aroma and flavor with very very light hop presence. About average for the style...

An ugly good tasting stout. Black with no head. No lacing. Faint aroma, a little raisin. Flavour is very full, coffee, chocolate, raisin and malt with a good malty finish. Enough bitterness to keep everything from getting too sweet.

Tap at Fifth Quadrant (NOL) - 07/11/12. Mid black with a good creamy looking tan head. Nose is light roast malt, mineral and light metallic tones. Tastes of roast malt, chocolate, dry and bitter, touch of liqourice, light mineral notes. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, leading to a dry finish, Decent enough stout.
