A Portland Classic! This strong ale has a deep mahogany color and is crafted with seven different specialty malts. A touch of smoked malt gives it a complex aroma and incredible flavor. LSD is also generously hopped with six hop varieties to help create an awesome beer.

Appearance: Pours a clearish, dark brown body with a thin, bubbly, white head. Smell: Dark malty scents of cocoa and toffee accompanied by a rather sharp note of smoked, charred grains. Taste: Chocolate and toasted toffee precede a blast of charry grains full of roasty and smokey qualities. Earthy hops with a medium bitterness. Touch of dried herbs. Additional hints of char and cocoa on the dry finish that last well into the aftertaste. Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Drinkability: Worth a try. Lompocís LSD is fairly well-balanced and drinkable.

Transparent amber mahogany brown with a thin, clingy-lacing light tan head. Aroma of toasty dry caramel malts and some resiny grapefruity hops. Starts with good malty fullness and dark caramel sweetness along with a pleasant citrusy bittering hop balance and bitterness before a crisp bittersweet finish. A nice strong ale.

Bomber poured a clear dark reeddish brown with a smasll diminishing tan head. Aromas of tootsie roll, carmel and light nuts. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of cocoa, carmel, nuts and light smoke with a smooth malty finish.

Pours from bomber a dark brown/black, forms nice size light brown foamy head. Aroma of smoky like malts, peat earth, and mud. Flavour much of the same, hops do come through, giving a slight bitterness that balances this beer nicely. Fairly good draft beer, would love to bathe in it first, then gulp it.

Dark brown with moderate head. 2 of my favorite flavor profiles in a beer are definitely smoke and hops, and the LSD gives me both. It is really just a hint of smoke that could probably be mistaken for deeply roasted malt or barrel aging. Moderately sweet base malt. Really enjoyable mix that I can easily drink a 22oz of.

This is one weird brew. Sampled on draft at the brewpub. It has a crazy, nutty character like and imp nut brown. Weird. I repeat weird.

Bomber, labeled as "Lompoc Special Draft". Pours a very dark cola brown with some crimson highlights. A frothy, bubbly, cream colored head leaves micro-spot lacing all over the glass. The nose reveals notes of burnt caramel, coffee, hazelnut, and a hint of molasses. There are some earthy hop notes that really balance things out. Flavors grow to include cocoa, mocha, and a little vanilla. The bitter coffee and earthy hops lend a lingering, staunch contrast to the caramel and molasses sweetness that shows up front. Medium-bodied, smooth, and easy drinking, this one sports a long, semi-dry finish. Falling somewhere between a brown ale and a porter, this is a tasty, easy going brew. Nice stuff.

Iím a little stuffed up as I rate this, but Iím very familiar with this brew as it is local and Iíve had it many times on tap. Pours a very dark brown with a fairly think tan head. Faint sweet malt in the aroma. Nice mouthfeel with plenty of carbonation. Flavor is roasted malt with some smokiness and a nice hoppy finish. A good beer. I love this one at the pub on nitro!

Clear dark brown with a thick one finger light tan head. Good amount of fine lacings. Aroma is molasses and some floral hops. Taste is sweet roasted malt with enough hop bitterness to make it enjoyable. There is a touch of smokiness in the dry bitter finish. The aftertaste is a bit espresso like. Good full body with just enough carbonation. Overall kind of like Impy Stout light. Very pleasant beer.
