3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Appearance is about average, a typical clear amber-yellow and very foamy (be careful when you open the bottle). Malty aroma has a strong yeast component. Flavor is lively and malty, with a little hop taste and bitterness and toffee hints. Smooth and rich, it is an enjoyable malt liquor.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Half-liter 7.8% bottle, from Caputoís Market, Chicago suburbs. Not quite pale as Iíd expect. In fact, a rather heavy-looking golden color, fizzy head thatís already gone. Smell is of alcohol and corn syrup, but in this case itís almost pleasant. Flavor brings in some chewy malt, prickly bubbles drive the alcohol in. Some corn, and somewhat off-balance bitterness. For what it is, not bad; I suspect though itís been on a shelf a while (at least in a cooler), itís not too far from how it was supposed to taste. This was the first bottle by this brewer I grabbed, maybe their others beers will turn out okay.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
The beer as it forsakes its connection with the bottle pours a standard lager golden color, the head the normal bright white color, the size is modest, and the texture spumous, as the head relinquishes its hold on the glass, the lace forms a tight sealing veil to hide the glass from view. Quintessential lager nose, sweet malt, crisp and fresh with the archetypal lager start that is somewhat sweet with a decent malt presences, top is as one would expect from a lager, thin to medium in feel. Finish is moderately acidic, the hops apropos to the style, aftertaste somewhat dry, a typical lager, drinkable and a nice thirst quencher or palate cleanser, which is not bad in my humble opinion.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pour is deep golden with a thin white head...smell is sweet and bread doughy and faintly sour...smells like wort mostly...taste is very sweet and lightly toasty...notes of several day old corn or at least, those decorative dried Thanksgiving corns...if you were so inclined to eat one, which I donít know why you would be really...no real alcohol in the finish, just a bright yet soury sweet corn flavor...
