Light sweet bready malts to finish, faint leafy bitterness, lightly toasted sugars, a bit more dried fruits. A tasty but altogether simple bitter.

[Cask at the Bull, Highgate] Amber with a moderate white head. Malt, earth, and some lemon. Good rich mouthfeel, fulfilling bitterness in the finish. Good solid pint of bitter. I could sink a few of these.

Cask at the newly opened Bull brewpub, Highgate, London on 10th September 2011. Clear amber body and a bubbly offwhite head with little or no lacing. Fruity, spicy aromas. Rich taste blend in liquid - very bitter but with berry fruits and spicy touches. Fruitiness and strong bitter line continue into the aftertaste, carrying well on a fresh and zingy mouthfeel. A good pint.
