Bottle(@Kris Wines):Very, very deep brown coloured with a small and stable tanned head, moderate dry coffeish nose, completed by dried fruits, dark malt and a tinge of Worchester Sauce; robust dry bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied and astonishingly very soft; lingering sweet-bitter chocolatey and dark-fruity and roasty finish. Great beer… (English beer #500!!!)

330 ml bottle. BB 23/08/14. Courtesy of VastActiv. Black colour with a small tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, bitterness, ash and mild milky sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is very burned malt, ash, burned coffee and some hops. Too burned and too much coffee for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle- my 50th Kernel. Kind of. Thick, glossy black skimmed with dirty beige. Drinking chocolate, grilled veg, chocolate eclair left in the toaster too long aroma. Deep, soft, burnt chocolate character imbued with balance and bittersweetness. Hop/roasted malt-bitter; fine, quintessentially stouty. Hints of raisin, anise, coal smoke, dry roasted seeds and nuts. Serious. Merest tang of sour. Nice.

laiti (7981) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 16, 2013
33 cl bottle @ olio. Bottled 23.08.2012, BBE 23.08.2014
Aroma has cocoa, some roasted notes, semi‐dark chocolate and coffee. Flavour has ash, cocoa, some coffee, salty licorice and semi‐dark chocolate. Could be more rich of course. But then this would be an imperial stout.
