330 ml bottle. BB 23/08/14. Courtesy of VastActiv. Black colour with a small tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, bitterness, ash and mild milky sweetness in the aroma. The flavour is very burned malt, ash, burned coffee and some hops. Too burned and too much coffee for me. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

330ml bottle- my 50th Kernel. Kind of. Thick, glossy black skimmed with dirty beige. Drinking chocolate, grilled veg, chocolate eclair left in the toaster too long aroma. Deep, soft, burnt chocolate character imbued with balance and bittersweetness. Hop/roasted malt-bitter; fine, quintessentially stouty. Hints of raisin, anise, coal smoke, dry roasted seeds and nuts. Serious. Merest tang of sour. Nice.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a black colour with a beigeish head, which collapses quickly. Rather intensive aroma of chocolate chip cookeis, roasted malts and coffee. Rich flavour of strong roasted malts, chocolate chip cookies, burnt bread, coffee and strong bitterness. Some mellow fruitiness as well. Full bodied, oily mouthfeel and soft carbonation. Mouth-drying finish of roasted malts and strong bitterness. Excellent.

Pours dark red, almost black color with a small off-white head. Aroma of coffee, roasted malts, dark chocolate and some caramel. Very appealing aroma. Flavor of dried dark fruits, caramel, roasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate and some cocoa powder. Very dry and roasty palate. Excellent

UPDATED: MAR 6, 2013 On gravity at the winter beer festival, the Three Tuns, Bristol 23/2/2013. Near black with a tight, off-white head. Big, bitter chocolate, smooth roasted grains, a touch of dark fruit and pleasantly dry finish. Ridiculously easy drinking, a half pint easily went down and was immediately followed by a full one. My beer of the festival. Excellent all round.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel Florentin. Thanks tomer. As "London Brewers Alliance Collaboration London Stout". Black with a nice tan head. Heavily roasted aroma with some coffee, cocoa and a bit of vegetal notes. Bittersweet flavor with coffee, light acidic notes and a bit of mocha. Burnt bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

(Bottle) Black colour with creamy, pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of black coffee, liquorice, burnt sugar, dark chocolate and hints of soy sauce. Malty, roasted taste with strong black coffee, liquorice, spy sauce, burnt sugar, a touch of tar and a roasted coffee bitterness in the finish. Medium body, smooth and velvety mouthfeel. A certain sweetness shining through. Well made and tasty stout. Very nice.
