Bouteille. Noire. Au nez comme en bouche: chocolat noir, torréfaction et figues. La douché est un peu aqueuse, donnant une impression de dilution. Tout de même très bonne.

Draught at CBC ’13. Opaque black liquid with medium to big tan head. Aroma of coffee, licorice, light ash and bitter chocolate. Taste is dry and medium bitter with notes of coffee, ash and chocolate. Medium to full bodied with low to medium carbonation. Nice.

Bottle. Very dark colour with a minimal head. Dry and burnt flavour dominate before a glimmer of sour fruit. Too much roast obscuring any latent complexities.

Very dark purple to black beer, nice creamy brown head, pretty stable, bit adheisve. Aroma: cocoa powder, burnt and roasted malts, coffee, bit smoky. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of roasted flavours, coffee, bit earthy, cocoa powder, some caramel. Aftertaste: bitter hops, coffee, roasted stuff, charcoal even, sourish, bit smoky, dry hoppy finish.
