Sampled on draught at the Bull, Highgate. Clear, amber colour with a creamy white head. Very nice biscuity malt taste, well-balanced with floral hops. A simple, straightforward, low-strength IPA. beautifully made, excellent balance and highly drinkable. LBC have created a really pleasant beer in the classic English tradition. Much less citrusy than advertised - tasted like English hops to me. Has the recipe been changed?

[cask at the 2013 London Drinker Festival] Very slightly hazy golden yellow pour, large, fresh-looking white head. The aroma is lemon and orange citrus, grassy straw. Bitter citrus on the flavour – surprisingly so, lemon, pithy and very good [07032013]

Cask @ The White Horse On Parsons Green. Pours clear light gold with a tiny white head. The nose is bright lemon peel, some dried grass and general bucolic aromas. The taste is simple light citrus, a bit of piss and meaty lemon. Dry grassy finish. Decent sweet malt presence. Light body, quite flavorful for the low ABV. Overall, a pretty simple but pleasant drink.

Chelmsford Beer Festival. Light haze on this gold beer. Little suddy white head. Light palate, a little crispy. Nicely hopped. A little floralness. Minerally mild grapefruit. Mild pine. A little lemon - orange citrus. Mildly crispy finish. Nice palate cleanser and well flavoured for its abv.

Cleanish gold with a good white head, a little short lived and possibly a touch short on condition, but only a touch. Great bitter but delicate English snout with a touch of sweetness in the background but mainly grassy and aromatic. Similar flavour but even more so. For a 3.9% quaffer, this is pitched pretty much bang on. Dry, bitter, mainly grassy but a touch floral and an unexpected but pleasant oaky character. Just right on the length too. Long enough for you to know there is plenty of flavour but clean a swift enough to make it downable. This little ramble has taken me the time it took to nail a pint. Really good.
