Our very first beer and still our most popular. A bright, citrussy, tropical fruit filled pale ale with generous amounts of New Zealand hops. Lip-smacking and extremely refreshing.
Hops: Bittering – Progress. Aroma – Motueka and Nelson Sauvin

Cask (backlog). Golden colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is quite a bunch of floral and grassy hops, with some mild sweetish malts to go with it. Flavour is quite similar, but also has some bitter grassy and berryish notes to it.

Cloudy amber beer, tidy off white head. Light palate, dry. A little soft malt, trace of caramel. Mild orange hops with a whisper of pine. Dry finish. Mild bitter linger. Okay but a bit dry and lacking hop fruit.

Bottle at The Queens Head, London. Pours clear, rich gold with a foamy, white head. A bit of lightly toasted malts in the nose, some straw. Light to medium sweet flavor, light tang to the malts, some wet hay. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Bready malt finish, some leafy bitterness, dough, toast, faint citrus. Decent beer, though nothing special.

Cask gravity at Sebright Arms Hackney. Orange amber colour slight haze disappearing white head. Tropical fruit aroma. Yes quite hoppy bitterness on finish. Yes there is Nelson Sauvin on finish. Some earthynesd to the finish. Pretty tasty.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green - 13/10/12. Pale golden with a thin white head. Light tropical fruit nose, hops, sweet grapefruit and a little pine. Hop forward flavour profile, grapefruit, pine and a little peppery. Medium bodied with fine carbonation lending towards a bitter finish. Decent hoppy stuff!

Cask conditioned at Banbury Beer Fest ’12. Gold with white head. This is a real hop monster and very good because of it. There is a lightish maltiness but a crunching hop impact, passion fruit and apricot, good depth, bitter, drying. Really pretty good.

Cask at Bree Louise with Sarah. Pours a clear amber with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of pine hop with a hint of grass backed by a note of biscuit. Flavor has a nice pine hop with a hint of resin and a grain backbone. Easy drinking.

Cask, Leicester Fest 12. Hazy bronze with a bubbly head. Aromas are toffee and apple with weetabix. Lemon rind with tea. Flavours are weetabix malts with resinous sour apple and lots of spiciness. Yeasty with some sweet tropical fruit. A good bitter.

Cask conditioned gravity dispense Doric Arch London. A bronze coloured beer which pours mostly headless. Sticky orangey hops. Notes of marmalade. Served too warm, but a decent hop profile does come through the shadows. Long finish. Decent.

Cask gravity, Derby Winter BF, 17/02/12. Dusted, peachy amber with a loose but well-retained head. Flowery honey aroma. Pleasant with a stewed tea, Liptons iced with peach, background nut husk taste. Good green fruity hop burps. A little meaty but, hey, it’s a festival. Unexciting, not my kind of hoppy...but not bad.
