3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Leighton (4100) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 23, 2012
Bottle at home in London. Pours clear brown with a creamy, off-white head. Has a fairly inviting aroma, some light toasty dough, berries, mild sweat. Lightly sweet flavor with some lightly tangy berries, dry bread, mild leaves. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Mild sweet finish with some leafy bitterness, light toast, hints of plastic, modest berries. There are some nice, toasty nuances to the malts, but the overall character of the beer is slightly bland. Not bad overall, though.

Bottle. Pours a hazy medium brown color. Minimal white head that quickly disappears. The aroma is light, some caramel, cut grass. The taste is lightly sweet, mildly bitter. A bit acidic and lemony. Body’s light, soft carbonation. Overall, a pretty boring beer.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 shoulderbroken (587) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 24, 2011
Cask at the brewery. Slightly reluctant as I am not a real fan of landlord. Amber brown colour with no head. Smooth in mouth but fairly thin bodied. Aroma gives a slight hint of hoppiness and caramel/biscuit maltiness. Much prefer this to landlord!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 chriso (7065) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 17, 2011
Cask (gravity dispense) at Pigs Ear Beer Festival (Day 1) on 6 December 2011. Darkish amber/copper colour. Another middle of the road, nutty, traditional style bitter. A little sweetness on the palate. Perfectly acceptable but, at a festival well (over?) supplied with rather similar beers, there was nothing particular to make this one stand out from the crowd.
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 BeerCast_Rich (1202) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 5, 2011
[500ml bottle, London Fields Brewery] Opaque brown pour. Malty, fruity aroma. No real head but decent amount of carbonation. Nutty, malty flavour. Some toffee. Bitter finish – all yeasty – stirred up in transit, but not detrimental. Good dry finish [03122011]
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Benjii (2416) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 3, 2011
In bottle. Pours a cloudy hazel colour with a thin beige head. Aroma of caramel, hay, barley and a little apple again. A chewy mouth-feel with similar flavours. A little thin with a nutty linger. Quite a dry finish. Nice enough.
