COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Regular; Available in cask, keg & 500ml bottles.
Note: New version from late 2012 with lower abv and different recipe.
A true union of malt and hops, with silky texture and soft caramel flavours cuddling up to a rich pear and summer fruit character.

Cask at the brewpub, one-third pint. Deep mahogany coloured body. Naked surface. Minimal lacing. Aroma of semi-sweet brown malts. Caramel malty taste joined by nuts and earth. Malty bitterness to the ending. Medium bodied. Nice and smooth in the mouth (London 26.09.2014).

Draught cask at The Swan, Cosmo Place. Rich red-brown, pours bright. Lovely condition. Fairly hoppy with a bitter finish but a little thin on body.

Cask - Toasted malts and some nutty notes. Clear caramel and a rich beige head. Light toast and nuts with a bitterness in the finish. Quite nice,

Half pint at Wandsworth Summer Beer Festival. Dry resiny hops, very British. Slight opaque copper appearance with no head. Smooth and highly drinkable. Light aroma, and it smells like it tastes. Passable.

Bouteille: Almost clear, lively carbonation, big loose to creamy off-White head that very slowly collapses; distinctive hoppy-fruity nose (exotic fruits) over a caramelly-nutty Background; quite robust bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied, n o t soft; lingering dryish fruity-hoppy finish with some balancing caramelly-malty notes. A fine session beer...
