Note: New version from late 2012 with lower abv and different recipe.
A true union of malt and hops, with silky texture and soft caramel flavours cuddling up to a rich pear and summer fruit character.

500ml bottle from Sourced Market St Pancras. Clear russet colour with lasting near white head. Grapefruity hoppy aroma. Now that is a very nice beer. Decent full malts and then a lovely grapefruity hop. Very good bitter.

Pint from cask. Clear ruby/amber with quite a thick head that lasts. aroma is malts, cereal, hay and wet grass. taste is malty at first followed by dry citrus fruits. hoppy bitter finish.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - deep amber with a nice lacy head. Nose - pine and grapefruit, light red fruits and crystal malts. Taste - crystal malt, grapefruit. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - yeah well made beer.

500ml bottle from sourced market St Pancras, shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear red-amber, thin off-white head. Aromas of grapefruit, light red fruit, pine. Taste is woody pine bitterness, some light yeast, caramel/crystal malt. Light sweetness. Bitter linger.

Light amber, hazy, average to large and mostly lasting head. Moderate, lightly sweetish and malty aroma, faint caramel, tropical fruitiness, grapefruit and piney hoppyness. Body is medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint caramel and light tropical fruitiness, grapefruit and piney hoppyness. Finish is average, malty and lightly sweetish, light fruitiness, bit sharp piney and some grapefruit hoppyness. Nice well hopped bitter - not too sweet.

2) LF Love Not War bitter. Backlog rating. Tap at the brewery tap room, London. It pours a clean golden color with a minimal white head. Aroma is mildly grainy and hoppy, with grass, hay and citrus peel. Taste is medium bitter with notes of grass, grains, citrus peel, hay and dried pine needles. Finishes dry and bitter, Medium bodied with good carbonation. Overall, decent bitter

Cask gravity at the Watford Beer Festival 2014. Poured a clear amber, with a rocky white head. Aroma of grass, citrus and grain. Bitter hop flavours, with some sweet caramel and mango. Finish was tinned fruit, straw and a slightly astringent bitterness.

On cask at Dirty Dicks, Bishopsgate. Pours red brown with off white head. Spicy red ale, too much going on really. Enjoyable but would struggle with another one, Irish red on acid.
